    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Thanks! Great news as you never know how supply chain issues may affect things. Looking forward to its arrival.

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Nick - For those of us who placed orders when the IC was first available on the Mishimoto site, any idea on a shipping date? I know you’ve said approximately three weeks after the announcement earlier in this thread but was wondering if that target still holds.

    Real world mpg

Stock ST for the moment and if I leave it in Eco Mode around town, it gets ~20 MPG on 87 octane with 10% ethanol. Highway driving between KC and StL in Eco Mode at ~80 to 85 mph will net ~24 MPG on the same fuel. There is a slight bump up in MPG when moving up to 91 or higher octane fuel but...

    Therein lies my problem. :ROFLMAO:

    2022 Explorer ST 401a AWD

Impressive. Best I ever got was 23 mpg on the highway. I must not be driving mine right. :)

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

Until you break the bolt, then it is unclear if you just get a new stronger bolt for your “one time replacement“ along with fixing anything else that broke when the bolt let go or something else. It will be interesting to see what Ford does when it happens.

Great news. Order placed! Look forward to getting this and getting it installed.

    Starting all over

I hear you about how getting older is hell. I’m in the same boat with things that I may have had the ability and stamina to do just a few years ago being no longer practical. Sorry to hear about needing to spend time at the cardiologist. Hopefully they are on top of things. However, glad to...

Looking very nice and black lug nuts too. :D Did you farm out some of the work or DIY it all?

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

Dang, I gotta get batter dealer. Almost makes me want to drive down to NOLA to get work done on my ST along with a number of other things that NOLA has to offer.

    COST OF STEEDA SPRING INSTALL

$2,200 makes the $1,200 quote I got seem like a deal but not one i’m taking them up on. @singingwhodat - Am I reading the invoice correctly that the dealer charged you $200 to install an aftermarket intercooler?

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Thanks Nick. Think I’ll just leave it as stock given the comments about it not being that visible. Looking forward to the announcement that it is available to order. I’m guessing that’s coming shortly, right? :)

Thanks and that would be my back up plan. Although I wonder about putting another layer however thin over the powder coat that these will have.

Explorer ST Adapt-X Tune (OEM Octane Learning and drivability)

So are those folks who ordered a tune from Monster still liking it and have any updates?

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Definitely would prefer a black with silver or white logo.

    Starting all over

Thanks and understand It’s not for everybody. I spent plenty of time out on the dealer‘s lot looking at Atlas Blue, Rapid Red and Agate Black vehicles. All good choices but remembered how often my black 2014 had been confused by people as being the Police, ruled out the black and red (Fire...

    Starting all over

Welcome to the forum. Seeing the ST in Agate Black makes me miss my 2014 Tuxedo Black Sport and almost makes me wish I’d ordered that color instead of the Atlas Blue that I have. :)

I found the plastic fuel funnel... but

Looks like on the 2022 model, they just cast where the front towing eye attachment cover is on the front bumper but it is no longer a removable piece. The cover is no longer even cast into the rear bumper cover. Not sure if this is a change only in the 2022 model year or if it also occurred in...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Never thought that for a moment. I think most of the folks on this forum who have the three bolt subframe have the same wish along with the wish that Crusing68 would install it if Ford won’t. What makes this whole thing even more frustrating is that the Aviator is apparently still...

Thanks. The pricing is competitive, so that’s good news. Looking forward to seeing the data and that early July prelaunch sale.
