Mine updated while driving. Very inconvenient. Good thing I didn't need the navigation at the moment.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

Pretty sure it was this that did the trick: PSCM 730-01-02 xxxx xxxx **-- **: 00=Auto Start/Stop Disabled 01=Auto Start/Stop Enabled, Angle Inhibit Enabled 02=Auto Start/Stop Enabled, Angle Inhibit Disabled I think i tried everything else prior to no avail too. Not sure if the combination of...

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

If it seems the same all around, maybe there were just some minor bug fixes.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I'm just speculating here...I don't know the full logic or circuit behind how this change in Forscan works to prevent auto stop start. I think the PSCM change in Forscan is basically telling the car that some kind of steering event is happening, which will require the power steering pump to...

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I just tested with the HVAC off, no change. The ASS off icon is still there. Looks like the fix is good!

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I haven't done any testing with the AC or heat. I feel like one of those is always on in my car. I think I remember ASS working (as intended) independent of any AC or heat. Just to double check, I will try driving with the HVAC completely off and see if ASS happens.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

No worries! I am used to older motors too. When I first looked under the hood of my Focus ST (a 2.0L Ecoboost), I couldn't find the BPV anywhere, until I finally realized it was integrated into the compressor housing, and wondering where the heck the exhaust manifold was :p. The torque...

"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this! Will you be doing the fab work? When will it begin? What kind of goals do you have for the build?

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

It's been about 2k miles, still no sign of ASS returning.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

@TMac I have read your thread and appreciate all the detailed info in it, but didn't want to clutter it up, as it is your build thread. :) Have you compared any of the newer G45 and up turbos too?

    Other turbo upgrade options?

The 3.0 Ecoboost has a "headifold" design, where the manifold is internal, and meets the turbo at one combined port: Personally, I would love to have a G series on my Explorer, or maybe two of them.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I don't intend to upgrade the brakes, so I painted my calipers.

    Other turbo upgrade options?

Turbo upgrades similar to the CR/Pure were used on the Focus ST, where the internals would get upgraded, sometimes the housing would be ported too. The stock turbo size was so small that it generated way too much heat with the upgraded parts. While it made more power, it also led to issues to...

    Other turbo upgrade options?

I know that there are upgrades available from CR Performance and Pure, that basically modify the stock turbos. Do these generate significantly more heat than the stock ones, since they are still using the stock frame? Are there any other options in development? I'm no fabricator, but I...

Has anyone done an Intercooler Comparison?

Ecoboosts use a torque targeting strategy to make power. Older cars didn't use this strategy, and if it flowed better, more power was made. These cars are a little more complex in that regard. The tune is what limits the power. The car is configured to produce the stock level of power based...

Has anyone done an Intercooler Comparison?

I haven't done a ton of in depth research on the options out there, but they all seem sufficient for any amount of heat the stock turbos can put out. The cores all look very similarly sized. I would bet that they are even sufficient for bigger turbos too. It just seems like a matter of...
