    Unexpected infotainment reboot

I was 2 1/2 hours into a 3 1/2 hour trip when I stopped for fuel. I was running Waze on CarPlay on an iPhone 13 Pro. I also had the V1 Gen2 hooked up to its app via Bluetooth so as not to miss anything while enjoying a musical interlude. When I returned to the highway I noticed the orientation...

So what other cars are in your stable?

Man! She’s beautiful! Ever since I traded my bull for a pony, I’ve wished I’d done it the other way around. Gotten the Mustang phase out of my system and then got the SHO!

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

It’s just a figure of speech in reference to the feeling of a much higher center of gravity. And since everyone’s point of reference is different, it’s subjective. Suffice it to say, I love the improvement!

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Ford Performance tune and H&R springs. I had H&R’s on a 2016 SHO so I had some idea of what to expect. But it’s still better than I remembered. Feels more stable. Greatly improves cornering. Less like you’re sitting on a bar stool on top of a mattress.

    Hard launch transmission disengages

I had a very similar situation, exact symptoms, in another Ford performance vehicle. My tuner told me I was probably hitting traction control. It was happening on a roll so I didn’t believe him. He road with me logging with his laptop and I was able to recreate it. Sure enough, hitting traction...

    Ford Performance Tune

I pretty much found myself in the same situation. I got tired of people not getting back to me. Saying they’d look into it and let me know. So, I just did it myself. I’ll fight the warranty beast if it ever rears it’s head. I’ll have a better chance doing that with a FP tune then another...

    Ford Performance Tune

I’m pleased with my investment. I probably have about 5 miles driving in “Normal“ mode in a year of ownership. So, I can’t comment on that. But in my normal, Sport, I feel more throttle response and quicker acceleration from a dig and on a roll. Also smoother shifts. I have both custom dyno...

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

I do my research before I buy anything. The higher the price tag the deeper the research. But, I also take reviews with a grain of salt and look at them much like music reviews. If I’d always listened to the music critics I would have missed many of my favorite bands and songs. So in the end...
