Used some polymer picture hanging thread stuff because I didn't have any fishing line. No heat, just get the letters off and used a knockoff 3M eraser wheel to clean it up. I didn't really care about difficultly to clean, I just like the cleaner look.

You've got me curious about these headlights. You mentioned they're difficult to find, but is there anything preventing you from ordering a set from Europe new? You have a part number you could share?

Removed the "EXPLORER" emblem.

Easy little job today. Looks good. Need to get that blue oval blacked out. Somewhat undecided about the red ST badges. Blacked out looks sharp, but so does the accent color. Maybe flat black ST against the gloss grill? Dunno...

OK, second foray under the car. This wasn't hard but I don't have an impact wrench and I did it with the car on the ground. Doable but you have to contort yourself a bit to get leverage on those big bolts. An impact wrench would make this infinitely easier. Didn't get to drive it yet because...
