Thinking about buying a 2020 ST

It was mind-numbing to see all of the 300 HP V6 SUVs when I was shopping around. Everything looked exactly the same except for the ST. I was even having a hard time finding something with a factory trailer hitch. Good luck finding a Telluride or Cherokee with one of those.

    Rollaway Recall

You also have to consider the severity of the issues. Ford is recalling minor things like backup cameras showing a blue screen. Kia refused to recall the Tellurides when their windshields and sunroofs were breaking/shattering.

    Canadian Built ST

Every vehicle I've ever owned has had rust on the brake rotors. They're not painted, and they're not stainless. Of course they're going to rust.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

They'll fix it as many times as necessary as long as you're under warranty. The "one time fix" would only come into play after your normal factory warranty has expired and if you don't have an extended warranty.

Raised hood letters are killing my microfibers

I assume you just heated them up and slid some fishing line behind them? What did you use to get the glue residue off?

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I know that the part number of the bolt changed sometime around the recall. Whether that means it's "better" or not, I couldn't tell you for sure.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

I've had all of these same issues. I had to update via USB because Wi-Fi would always say I was up to date. Now I'm still seeing that I need an update on the Ford site despite uploading the log file. I guess I'll just have to keep checking forums to see what the latest version is.

Steering off Center!?! Multiple Wheel Alignments CAN'T Correct!

Yep. Just keep an eye on your tire wear. If they wear too quickly or in odd patterns, that's a sign of an alignment issue. Otherwise you're probably fine.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Updated mine today via USB. Uploaded the XML log. Still says I need an update and has my version wrong on the site.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Ah, I was thinking of what they recommend wen using a USB to update. The Wi-Fi update does say you can turn it off.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

So you don't actually need to leave it running the whole time like Ford tells you to? Never mind. I was thinking of the USB update that tells you to leave it running.

    ST fogged headlights normal?

I've seen a Ford memo posted here before saying that their policy is to only replace them if there are large droplets of water inside.

    Rear Climate control recall

The stock status seems to depend on if you've got heated seats in the rear or not. If you don't have rear heated seats, the controls are readily available. I got mine installed by the dealer this morning. Just reference TSB 22G01 and they should be able to figure everything out.

    Rear climate/heated seat controls

Got mine put in at the dealer today. Took about 30 minutes.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

So is it safe to assume that vehicles manufactured after the recall have the "revised" bolt that is presumably higher quality than the ones that were breaking?

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Any news on if/when Ford will roll out a second part to the recall where they update the actual hardware on civilian vehicles?
