    Oil leak

Looks like I'm experiencing the same thing. From what I can see, it's a common leak with these trans coolers.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

So, I had Koons Ford drain and fill with ULV that I supplied. They spotted a leak and wanted $191 to diagnose. Freakin' pan gasket was $113? I can't find it for more than $60 without a discount. Most places are at $40. Total was $559. The leak turned out to be the trans oil cooler. Now they want...

If you have the stock black 21" wheels, none. Liver said they fit perfectly. They're pretty sticky so they'll wear quicker. Good performance but at that cost.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

Hadn't seen the vid but I heard it's behind the fuse box. Haven't had the chance to pull the box off yet.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

Right?!? A Ford dealer here wanted to do a diagnostic and charge me $170 to ascertain the factory code for the door lock. I said, "Man! This is a feature that comes with the vehicle and you're going to charge me $170 to use it??"

    Good clean humor and jokes

A Mexican magician told his audience he was going to disappear at the count of three. He said, "Uno ... Dos ......... and then POOF! .... He disappeared without a Tres.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

I tried that too and all the transmission shops told me they just rebuild, not service transmissions. I already have the ULV fluid, just looking for a place that knows what they're doing.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

Thanks. I've seen vids on this procedure and still not convinced it's worth a $100 tab for shops with a lift but it is what it is. I just didn't want to get it checked by one shop and then get it serviced by another because that would incur more of a charge than just having one shop do both.

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

I have no quams mechanically. I've pulled engines, undressed and redressed them and everything in between. Problem is location and lifts. Being in transition, I'm not in a place of my own and most of my tools are in storage. Basically I'm at the mercy of other provisions. If you can't trust the...

What Down pipes should i order?

Here in Md, they also have the OBD2 plugin for codes so as long as you're not throwing them, you're ok. CVfab DPs here with the defoulers that came with them and no CELs here. I put them on when the Stage 5 turbos were installed. Running the ZFG 93DMS tune, CVF cold pipe and IC and soon the S&B...

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

I have 72K miles. I had already bought 13qts of Mercon ULV for a fluid change but wanted to check for level and quality of what's already in there first. It would give me an idea of the condition of the tranny. If they suggest a drain & fill or fluid exchange, I'll hand them the fluid. I bought...

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

Hi All, Is this such a big deal? From what I've gathered, just drive the vehicle until the fluid gets to checking temp, put it on a lift, remove the dipstick bolt and check. I couldn't find an auto shop that even wants to attempt doing this so I called Ford and they want $100 just to check...

    Tire recommendation

These Falken Azenis FK460 A/S have impressed me. Great in dry, wet and mediocre in snow. They grip the cr4p out of corners and launch digs. Reasonably quiet and a comfortable ride. Good tread depth and wear at 500 A A 110Y...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Nice! I'm asking because they're a smidgen less than half the price I paid for mine but in the same breath, the tread life shows that it's less. I guess it's all in what the tire budget looks like the next time I need to re-rubber.

What for me, would work better than using it for detailing would be using it to remove or replace the wheel back on the vehicle. The last time I did a brake job, those wheels nearly broke my back to lift and turn to line up with the studs. Heaviest wheels I've ever dealt with.

I'm sure Liver posted that for me cuz I asked. In my case, I would use it only "when" I already have the wheels off. :)

Cool, thanks! So those tires fit the stock 21" black rims?
