    Thermal R&D exhaust *NOW AVAILABLE*

I was posting about the difference in steel on the Facebook post. It's kind of surprising that people don't take that into account since 304 steel is significantly better and also more expensive.

Ford Press release today (Feb 4 2020)

2020 numbers were apparently much, much better than 2019. https://fordauthority.com/2020/12/ford-explorer-sales-numbers-figures-results-third-quarter-2020-q3/

Ford Performance Parts for 2020 Explorer ST

Have heard very good things about the 5star warranty as well. It's $1,000 to add a 6-year powertrain cover, but the F-150 forum users who had to use the warranty said that 5star's warranty provider was very easy to work with.

Figured I should make an intro post!

Picked up my white (leftover) 2020 a bit over a week ago, now, in Delaware. Originally was intending on picking up a gray one but the gray one ended up having about 6,000 miles on it (driven by the dealership manager). So, ended up with Star White! Have to say that I am a big fan of white...

    Tuning question

You could always go with 5star and then buy the powertrain warranty from them as well.

What did you pay for your ST

What actually were the updates? Mine is a December 2019 build so I am hoping enough of the gremlins were worked out. Dealer looked through their system and nothing was noted that should be done on the truck.

What I like about my ST

I admit that I like the infotainment a lot more than I anticipated. After seeing some of the complaints about the iPad-in-portrait-mode display and how small the camera can show, I figured it'd bother me. Not so thus far. Really enjoy it. Would it be nice if the camera was larger? Sure. But I...

What did you pay for your ST

Killer deal. Any mileage on the truck at all when purchased?

What did you pay for your ST

    MSRP - $57,000 Dealer Discount - $4,500 Ford Rebate - $5,750 Total before TTL - $46,750 0% APR for 72 months No payments for 90 days

Wait for 2021 or buy leftover 2020?

You can definitely do better than that deal. My deal was $10,250 off of MSRP + 0% APR for 72 months + no payments for 90 days 7 miles on the ST at the time of purchase.

So what do you all do?

I work in insurance. I put together programs for multi-national commercial entities and focus in complex (and hopefully interesting) risks. I largely focus on property risks but place a bit of cyber and other specialized E&O liability deals as well.

Agreed, Jim. I just want to see the tune released!!

    New guy, 2020 vs 2021?

Ford's rebates and incentives on leftover 2020s are incredible right now since the 2021s have been out for so long. Still quite a few 2020s as well. Dealer had 2 others (one with nearly no miles and one with 6,000 miles).

    New guy, 2020 vs 2021?

Depends on the year and the location. I got a fantastic deal on a leftover 2020 on Saturday. MSRP - $57,000 Dealer Discount - $4,500 Ford Rebate - $5,750 Total before TTL - $46,750 0% financing for 72 months 90 day payment deferment (payments start in mid March)

    What’s that smell?

Congrats, Jim! I saw some of your posts the other day. Looks like we both bought our white STs right around the same time! And, yes, I have the smell, too. But I'd get the same smell when swapping exhausts as well. Just seems typical of all of the engineering that goes into the exhaust...

What did your Ford Explorer ST replace?

A 2008 Saturn Outlook. Great SUV for the money we paid for it (owned it for 2 years as we sold off my Jeep GC SRT for something cheaper when my wife and I bought our house). Had 68,000 miles when we traded it. Reliable, fairly comfortable, and nondescript. I have a 2004 GTO that is modded to the...

What don't you like about your ST?

The 7 miles thing was shocking. It had 9 miles on it when I picked it up today. So someone drove her almost a third of her mileage in one day! ;) I picked mine up at Winner Ford in Dover, DE. They have two 2020 STs left in stock if anyone is looking. One has 6,000 miles on it (Magnetic) and...

Ordering 2021 ST - Street pack?

Harsh ride quality and the tire price seemed to go up quite a bit over 20" wheels.
