Picked up my 2025 Ford Explore ST last week

Much to my chagrin, they unveiled new squad cars and they are all Durangos and Chargers. I asked where are the Fords, they said too many problems and stopping orders. I think they probably had the hybrids, which may have given them even more problems. My engine is the only problem-free and...

Picked up my 2025 Ford Explore ST last week

Keep in mind, mine's a 2020. Tell that to my local police departments who recently told me they stopped all future orders on these vehicles because of all the major repairs on their fleets. Of course, when he told me to get rid of mine, I said not now that I have warranty extended and new tires...

    Fuel gauge going caddy Wompus

I wasn't so lucky! Twice it ran out of gas and would crank and not start. Don't let it run past 75 miles to empty ever!

Picked up my 2025 Ford Explore ST last week

Don't ever drive it without warranty! This generation is plagued with major failures at relatively low miles.

Someone tell me I'd be crazy to not delete the FADA

I had a blowout last month, fortunately at low speed and had to get the mini-spare put on. I don't think a patch kit would have helped me get home! LOL It was ruptured through the sidewall. Most every other flat was a nail or screw puncture but every other decade or so I get the freak accidental...

    Fuel gauge going caddy Wompus

It was under warranty first time at less than 10K miles, had to be towed at bottom of the hill on my street and get a new fuel pump. Second time roadside assistance brought me gas to put in to restart on my driveway incline on a cold morning remote start. Today in fact I was at 95 miles to...

    Fuel gauge going caddy Wompus

On an incline? It's a serious problem. I've run out of gas twice, first time burning the fuel pump second time had to get 5 gallons to start in my driveway. Now I never ever let it go below 75 miles to empty, or a quarter tank left!

Someone tell me I'd be crazy to not delete the FADA

I had the FADA TSB done last year and used the spare for the first time since last month. 4wd off message came on after a few seconds of driving.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

So between the Highlander and Explorer, which one has had more repairs and problems? Just curious.

Someone tell me I'd be crazy to not delete the FADA

I recently got a flat and put the spare on to drive a couple miles and the 4wd off message came on screen. So either the system is dumb and fooled or it actually disconnected. Also the graphic 4wd display doesn't always AWD just rear drive unless under hard acceleration.

    2020 Explorer ST seat issue

Try another dealer. That sounds like bull.

    High mileage a problemo?

Not mine! I'm at 60K miles and have had numerous powertrain failures and repairs. No mods, no towing, no off-roading and no racing. I won't keep it after the warranty expires.

    Odometer Mileage Mis-Match

My 2020 resets the miles after a while but the clock and MPG don't reset on Trip 2. On Trip 1, I reset at every fillup.

    Headlamp Switch Changes Position

My 2020 has no mods and has had this issue about once or twice a year. I never had it looked at under warranty because it's not that big an issue. The lights go off automatically after a while. I just reset the switch which seems to be going to sleep because the LED light is off too until you...

    Well I Did It....

I have had one since 2.5 years ago. I paid $1500 for 7yr/85K miles total warranty. I just recently used it for the first time for a TPMS replacement paid the $100 deductible. I have 20 months left on it. All of many major repairs over the past 5 years were done under factory warranty. So I...

Really loving Ford's CEO at the moment

I've had to replace major components on this vehicle during the first 5 years of ownership and under 50K miles that I've never ever had to replace on any other Ford, Mercury, Lincoln or Infiniti that I have owned over the past 35 years. Lucky for me they were all repaired or replaced under...

It should be different on the new infotainment screen on the 2025 model. Yours is same as mine, which is Sync 3.

Really loving Ford's CEO at the moment

If only quality and reliability could be improved in the near future! I really don't trust the product anymore after this 2020 Explorer!
