Factory thermostat vs. SPD 180 degree thermostat

What kind of climates would the 170 make sense? Southern California for instance.

    Ohhhhhh o.k. Thanks for clarifying!

    SPD Performance Downpipes

Well I can personally vouch that my system did not have any issues with either fiberglass or any rattling. I have had 0 issues with that system. I got the worm gears and the pipes in the mail. I'll put up a video once the work is done. Whipple Intercooler addition is close behind.

    SPD Performance Downpipes

Oh wow. Huh, now I'm wondering if I got a later manufactured S-type system or one of the early ones like yours. Do you happen to know if there is any identifier or way to tell the difference? That flex pipe rattle sounds pretty universal for people who have taken the plunge. I'm not too keen...

    Exhaust ......Need Opinions

My lady's all about the grunts and growls. I'm trying to build her a washing machine on wheels that can do a mid 12 1/4 mile :sneaky:

"embarrasingly loud"? How do you define embarrasing? On a scale of 1 being "noticeablely loud" and 10 being "pure humiliation", what are we talking?

Gotta say I always appreciate when someone swaps a substantial aftermarket part for another aftermarket part. Down for it haha.

Sounds bad-ass but honestly I don't notice a massive difference between that and my S-type (from your video and my laptop speakers though ha). Definitely seems to sound a bit better though than the Borla!

    Exhaust ......Need Opinions

As I said, they sound great throughout the powerband. No drone at any gear from inside the cabin. It is SLIGHTLY louder in the cabin but the note is so much more pleasing than stock that it's hard to imagine anyone prefering the stock system's characteristics. At idle it sounds great but it's...

    Exhaust ......Need Opinions

I have an aFe pro dry and it seems great. Basically just another AEM clone type filter. Not much to write home about really. I also have the Borla S-type and I frankly love it. I cannot speak for the ATAK. I also live in California so I needed the more subdued S-type to pass emissions...

Performance MODs that don’t Void Warranty

I threw on the Steeda sway bar and I'm very impressed at how much it decreased body roll as well as just making the ride and handling feel more like a BMW 3 series and less like an Expedition

Thanks that's really what I was hoping to hear!

    Whipple Intercooler

If you don't change the stock tune settings, is there any benefit to swapping this out with the stock unit? My understanding is that there will be increased turbo lag either way and I read some stuff that essentially was making the argument of "if you don't upgrade to a more aggressive...
