Thank you thank you! Just loaded the tune so going to join the fan club now and try doing a log. So excited!

So got my baseline tune tonight. I would like to log a pull in 3rd or 4th gear from 2500 to 6000 rpm. So just drive, wait until I see 3rd gear and 2500 rpm, have my computer start the log, then floor it until I get past 6000 rpm, then stop the log?

Embarrassing admission here - I don’t use the paddle shifters. I guess I’m going to have to get up to speed on that in order to identify rough shifts…..

I just need to watch some vids on data logging so I get that part right. When you say the gears were rough, what was happening exactly? Were you hearing clunking, or the acceleration was not as smooth throughout? Or does info just show up on the data log? Sorry I’m a total newb on that aspect...

So I got my RTD delivered today at 5:30. Had the stock tune downloaded and sent off to Adam by 7:30. I found the process very straightforward. Fingers crossed I have not jinxed myself with this early success. Extremely excited to get some pulls in before the snow arrives!

Sounds good to me. If my dealer squawks about a custom tune, I can let them know I’m just trying to prevent a warranty issue down the road!

So i have read this thread and also the one about the single bolt issue, since i traded in my 2020 for a 2021 earlier in the spring. If i understand what you say above, a tune from ZFG will allow me to avoid this problem? If that’s the case, then all the more reason to get one. Thanks! P.s...

I just finished burning off my first tank of whatever the dealer gave me on delivery. Our PetroCanada stations offer 94 octane with 10% ethanol IIRC so going to give that a go and see how the butt dyno responds. Still considering a tune as well but just started a new lease so may want until...

2021 explorer ST replaced 2020 explorer ST, which had replaced 2018 explorer sport, which had replaced 2016 explorer sport, which had replaced 2014 explorer sport. I love ecoboost, and buying new cars!
