That's correct, tampering with emission controls is a federal crime, regardless if your county/state performs emission testing. Do you have the Freeze Frame from the codes? If it's going lean under load check all the hose clamps on the boost side of the intake tracks, maybe there's a leak somewhere.

Almost 14K on my H&R's and I've never experiened them bottoming out, but I slow down over speed bumps. Took a few road trips with no issues, and the roads are bad in Salt Lake City and Denver. It may depend on how you plan on using the ST like @mwinn said.

I didn't like the giant tablet when I first saw it at the dealership, but once I drove it home it grew on me. I have no issues with it except the occasional reverse blue screen that they can't sem to fix.
