Almost time to replace 21" Pirellis any recommendation?

No you can’t run that tall of a tire. 305/40r22 should fit fine without any rubbing.

Almost time to replace 21" Pirellis any recommendation?

Hey unbroken can you run 305/45/22 on a stock setup with no rub? what offset would be needed for that if possible

Charge pipes are worth it, and intake will gain minimal gains from that. I would just say charge pipes right now. To me I’d find a good set of wheels before anything. Those stock tires are way too small and offset is too inset.

Same-model wheels on ST and Mustang GT Premium

They should be okay but there are so many different variables. Make sure you check offset especially. What offset, wheel width, are the ones your looking at?

Yeah the hub bore is good...more so just worried about offset clearing. Dont' even know if that will matter since its so close to 'normal' wheel offset.

Check the hub bore and bolt pattern on the S197 Mustangs. I know the S550/S650 share that with the Explorer, but not sure about the S197.

Ok so I’m curious about this lately. The mustang wheels have same hub bore so would I have any fitment issues with offset clearing the brakes? Have winter tires and was looking for easy 18” wheel replacement and found some off a ‘11 GT. Seems simple enough?

it’s not the 305…it’s the 40’s. 305/35/22 on 22x10.5 with a +30 offset is the magic number. Yeah, these rub ever so slightly when turning hard and hitting brakes. It “fluffs” the fuzzy liner some.

Yes, REAR fitment S550/S650 Mustang wheels that are in the 20x10/11 range usually have too high an offset. My wheels are the FRONT fitment, 20x9.5 +33, but the same wheels in REAR fitment are 20x10.5 +45.

Yah my info was incorrect. Whenever I looked at wheels they were always the 20x10.5 or 20x11. My bad.

I was gonna say the same thing. My 20x10 GT500 wheels have an offset of +20 and fit perfectly.

False. I have S550-Mustang spec wheels on my car. +33 offset.

Well the offset would have to be different between the two so they are not interchangeable.

Ford racing explorer ST wheel specs?

Just saying what some folks are saying and I have not seen or read about anyone using 315's yet other than the racing school build. I'm a noob just trying to learn. I don't know "who" they are. These forums are full of people who "know it all"...the last person I spoke with told me "you can run...

Ford racing explorer ST wheel specs?

Who says 305 is the widest you can run? On 10.5” wheels with +30 offset you can run 315’s square with no rubbing anywhere. Wheel diameter won’t change what width will fit…at least up to a 22.

Ford racing explorer ST wheel specs?

I have read the article on the Explorer ST build for the Ford Racing School using the 21" SV503 wheels. They use the 315/30ZR/21. Does anyone know if there is a specific offset or wheel spacer size used with that wheel/tire setup? I would think not, since it's built for the race track, but I...
