    Catch Can Contents

But none of it would end up in the catch can because it's not coming from the the PCV system. OP is asking why his catch can is so full.

    Catch Can Contents

That oil would end up in the intake and then combustion chamber, wouldn't it?

    Catch Can Contents

Excessive blow by, either the valves or pistons, or both.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I emptied the catch can juice. Funny thing happened though. I looked down past the hood latch to check out the tiny intercooler and it was missing. I thought for sure I was looking at the radiator. Hard to see because it's so damn bright outside. Assuming I'm looking at an aftermarket...

    Rotors

I generally go through tires and brake parts in about 1/2 the mileage. On my 392 Charger I never rotated the tires and they were all still evenly worn. If the rotors on your explorer can't be turned, it's either because they are at or below minimum thickness and turning them would bring them...

    K&N Oil Filter

No No. First three posts were about oil filters, not oiled air filters.

    Bad rear Diff bearing

There have been instances here where folks have gotten parts/labor warrantied even with mods and a tune. It's not going to hurt to try. They can't tell you it's going to be warranty work and then turn around and decide to charge you for it halfway through.

    Snapped down pipe

Thanks for the clarification. That is troubling then, as that would mean was little weight or stress on that down pipe.

    Snapped down pipe

Yeah I get that. If you look at pictures people have posted of the failed stock cats/down pipes, the welds fail but the parts themselves are still pretty much in line with each other. From the OP's picture it does not look like the two separated parts of the down pipe are lined up. Now maybe...

    Snapped down pipe

That's a pretty clean break. The way the two parts are so misaligned now that they're no longer connected makes me think there might be some alignment issues or stress on the down pipe before it snapped.

    Trans Temp Gauge

The Car Scanner ELM OBD2 has transmission temp. I haven't messed with the app much so I haven't figured out how to scale the gauges so 100 degrees is not the max.

any good phone mounts that suction to the back of the vertical screen?

There's also this one, I'd ignore the bad reviews as it looks like a couple idiots think if it fits the 10" screen it should fit the 8" screen without knowing the difference in the screen orientation. https://www.amazon.com/Autorder-Accessories-10-1-Inch-Organizer-Hands-Free/dp/B0CZRGTDDZ

any good phone mounts that suction to the back of the vertical screen?

Though they're currently sold out, these are made specifically for the Explorer. I'm also exploring my options as well. https://getoffroam.com/collections/ford-explorer-2020-2024-phone-mounts

    Sync Update 4U5T-14G421-CDG_ 1709589204000.TAR.GZ

Maybe this is the update that lets Android Auto use the whole screen.

    Bi-Directional Scanner Tool

@ 10:08 he talks about the Topdon Topscan which is apparently a bi-directional BT module.

Two months of ownership and I haven't looked under the hood yet?

Cause it's god damn hot outside, that's why. Even in the parking garage where I live it's 110 degrees in there. Anyway, I'm starting to wonder what the screen name is/was here for the previous owner of my ST. Seeing as they had the wherewithal to install the blacked out badges and toss the...

    Smell during WOT, I’m concerned…

I still get the "running your heater for the first time this year" smell when I get on the throttle.

    Scratches Fix

You might try something simple like Dr Color Chip, or just a touch up pen. If you want to get really fancy you can try something like this: You'll need to replace the emblem/trim piece.

    Steeda Grade 12.9 diff bolt(s)

This popped up in my youtube feed. Says they have kits for single and double diff bolt applications.

    Those felt undercarriage panels

My new-to-me '23 ST is basically new, so the undercarriage panels and wheels wells look clean and new, but how durable and dirt/dust resistant is that material? I imagine it would be hard to clean. Has anyone ever given thought to putting a couple coats of an epoxy or something similar on...
