    ZFG AO + Intercooler Gains?

Just type in ZFG tune in the search bar. 10 pages of stuff will pop up. Remember the IC by itself will not add any power, however it will allow for more aggressive tunes and make it easier on the engine when tuned and get the most out of the tune. Go to ZFG Racing on the internet. One last...

    Time For Upgrades

I went the same way and had little difficulty, however my ST was new when I added it. Over time I'm sure that orange clip will get brittle. Suggest you buy a replacement hose before startlng. Go back in the archives of this forum under catch can. Insightful information there. Go back to the...

    Time For Upgrades

Since you asked this community for input, here you go. IC Down pipes (yours likely are cracked anyway) Catch can Suspension upgrade (springs and rear swaybar) Tune (ZFG popular choice here) The intake, exhaust and BOV are nice noise generators but don't contribute much HP gains. Finally, not...

    Charge Pipes

We're on the same page. At one point I thought about moving the radiator tank a little to open the charge pipe pathway and use an appropriate preformed silicone pipe. This platform responds well to the right upgrades. Figuring out which ones is half the fun.. enjoy the ride.

    Charge Pipes

Go back in the search either for UNBROKEN or TMac. Both of the members have mad skills and understand the math behind turbo flow..UNBROKEN built his own charge pipe years ago. He did a lot of research on the flow of the stock plastic pipe and his custom pipe. TMac I think did a good write up...

    Steeda springs vs H&R springs

I've replied to this question before. I researched the two as you are. I choose Steeda. Didn't want too low, and since I pull a boat, I liked the rake that levels out some when trailering. I've had them for 3 years and about 40K miles. Very satisfied. Occasionally load up the crew for a...

Anyone else with Issues after Catalytic Converter Recall??

They did something wrong, take it back. I'm on mt second replacement set. Could be a bad connection between the engine and down pipe, could be they jacked up the flex connection or the cat down pipe is bad like in my case on the second round. All is good now. One thing for sure, it won't get...

Fugly, looks like a dated Audi

I need a out of state vin number

Damn you TMac, ruining a perfectly good smack down by interjecting reason and getting the discussion back on target. Aren't all STs made in Chitown? If so how would FOMOCO know in advance where each one would be shipped. Think Unbroken is right with the out of CA address. Maybe when a...

    Driving on Sand

Depending on where you get on the sand matters. The time I went I saw an entrance that was real soft and since I ride on Steeda springs my ST is lower than stock. I saw a FWD car with the front fascia torn off from bottoming out. That and my complete lack of trust in Ford to provide any proper...

zfg tune stock tune upload help

sadams sadams is correct in what he said about the Bluetooth strength. When I upload I'm inside the vehicle windows up ALL accessories off. I put the phone on my thigh and wait for the flash to complete. One thing on the gear selection showing the gear number instead of D, be sure the...

    Active Grille Shutters

South NC here. I just left them in. Not sure if they ever spend much time closed. Someone correct me if over simplifying it. If you do take them out only remove the shutters not the assembly. Leave everything plugged in

    Intercooler Lag ?

What TMac said, more volume. I had my whipple IC on for a few months before I got a tune. At first I noticed the lag was more noticeable over stock. Wrote it off as a volume thing. After the tune not much difference in the lag. If I'm in normal mode and try a rapid rolling start from low RPMs...

What was your reaction the first time behind the wheel of a Explorer ST?

Don't do it, don't freakin do it, first year of a complete makeover, don't you.....crap I did it. Thanks to the great members of this forum I've pretty much eradicated all the gremlins. 50k miles and the grin is still there, well 50k and ZFG.

    Lowering Springs Pros and Cons

If you're going to tow I'd go with Steeda. Steeda maintains the factory rake in proportion to the lowering. Gives you a little more suspension travel. If you're going full aggressive street look H&R is the way to go.

Using the TDN to install ZFG tune

Ridered74 is dead on. The form notifies ZFG there is a request. On an unrelated but kind of related topic is the actual upload. Not sure how everyone else does it, but I sit in the vehicle during the process. Radio off climate control fan off interior lights off windows up Ignition on but not...
