I don't get that sound on mine. I doubt it is a fuel pump because there is no reason opening a door would run the fuel pump.

I would hope your dealer takes care of you on this. An alternator Starting on fire in not normal. The tech may have messed up doing the install. Good luck.

I have never heard of a Gibson having any drone. In a job I had we sold and installed a lot of them and never had a complaint. I had one on my pickup and zero drone.

There is always a chance the station you use is the issue. Not all pump nozzles are the same. It would be hard to tell is that is the issue.

None of the factory 20" came in gloss black. The only way is if some one powder coated them.

Overfilling the gas tank can cause purge valve issues.

Not sure of the cost but you could have them powder coated.

You should be able to go to any Ford or Lincoln dealer. But a cheap fix for you is don't ever slow down. [wrenchin]
