    ST vs. The Competition

*UPDATED TO CURRENT PRICING + WARRANTY BACKED FORD PERFORMANCE TUNE (taken from manufacturer's websites and my own data) Okay, I've been wanting to do this thread for a while but I knew rounding up all the data was going to be a little tedious, so I relented. Lazy no more! Agree, Disagree...

    Transmission/Shifting Stall !!!!!!!

Some years ago I had a new Mustang GT. With less than a few thousand miles on it seemed unusually sluggish for 420 hp, so I drove it until the "Service" light came on. Brought it to the dealer and they said it was one of the overhead cam sensors. Wasn't even broke, was just unplugged. They...

    Consumer Report on Explorers

Hope your next vehicle doesn't present you with similar issues. Stuff happens, sorry it happened to you. As for FORD following GM's current state, none of us can see the future except for father time, and he ain't talking. Good luck ...

    Consumer Report on Explorers

JohnE's experience refutes both CR's and your conclusion. He states his 2020 has been without issue, plus the 2021's/2022's have been reported to clear up the items reported in first year 2020's. Truth is, even some Beemers and Porsches have known problems. It's an imperfect world. My Stinger GT...

    Consumer Report on Explorers

Yup, since almost day one my '22 had the rattling fuel line. Finally brought it in with just a few thousand miles on it and the parts are on the way, should be here shortly. It's suppose to be a 2 hour job as they have to drop the fuel tank to install foam blocks to hush the rattle. Oh well...

I need to reduce the DRONE

Steel Tips are sold for $1,543.99, not bad.

    Real world mpg

20.1 mpg combined. Better than the Durango SRT's 13 mpg. Lol.

    Loss of Power

With 3k on the odo this happened to me a few times, with no warning lights of any kind. It occurred for only a second, and immediately returned to normal.

What is missing on the 2022 ST from factory

So he actually has a 21 and not a 22 then.

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I'm not sure you'll experience anything different from other manufacturers.

I need to reduce the DRONE

Hard to have any faith in a manufacturer that doesn't advertise their system as "drone free."

What is missing on the 2022 ST from factory

I mean yeah, you wouldn't get discounts for missing items that were not missing! Weird stuff going on in the world today ...

What is missing on the 2022 ST from factory

Why would they make you sign something that says you recognize you are missing items, when in fact your vehicle actually has those items?

    Rear end damage

Whoever knows isn't talking. Lol Not sure they would go with the expense of a diff brace if it only needs some updated bolts.

What is missing on the 2022 ST from factory

Perhaps it was designed that way. Saves on additional battery drain.;)

    Real world mpg

Wow, 11-13 mpg. Not that great. I'm averaging 20 mpg with the ST. Dropping to SRT mpg would cost me an additional $220 month in fuel.
  19. CareerFiremanGuy

    Rear end damage

Actually, that makes more sense than anything I've heard thus far. If that is the case, then FORD should simply replace the bolts.
