    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Agree. My 6spd in the 2012 F150 was fine; it was tuned too. Just helped its shifting some but it was a tank. My 2021 GT with the 10R80 was hit or miss. In sport, it shifted really hard. So far this 10r60 in 2025 has been great. Smooth, almost feels like a CVT at times, which was their goal, I...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

I think they went through some rough patches, especially in introducing their 10spd transmissions and getting the PTUs to where they needed to be. My 8spd in the 2019 was OK, not great. The PTU had no drain plug LMAO.

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Ive seen this on my 2012 F150, 2017 Expedition and my 2019 Edge ST AWD. Not sure if it's these aluminum driveshafts or what, but it is a recurring issue.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I added a standard FP hitch cover. I wasn't impressed with some of the 3D-printed options on Amazon; the red didn't match, and the way they clip in would likely cause rattling. The more stylish ones cost $400 to $500, which seems overpriced, especially since I just bought a new range for $1,500...

    2025 Oil Capacity

Another interesting test, I think, would be UOA's. If your oil level and driving habits are causing starvation, would you not see an increase in the wear material from the bearing? I just sent in my first analysis, and will be doing several more as the motor gets some miles.

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I run the AEM dry filters. They definitely allow more airflow (and yes, a bit more dirt), but I’m not expecting horsepower gains or mpg from them. These engines already pick up close to 100 HP from a simple tune — exhausts and CAIs are basically wasted money under normal driving conditions. I’ve...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Pulled a factory fill oil sample for analysis. Getting its first oil change this Friday.

    Which exhaust (need recommendations)

I’d agree — depending on how much noise you want, it may be a little on the quiet side. Cold start: Perfect for me. It fires up with a nice bark, then settles into a clean idle. After two Mustangs with full 3" exhausts, my neighbors probably like me better now (maybe). Easy acceleration from...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I used Sport for the first tiem today, the whole way. It drives so much better than Normal. Half my drive is over 60mph, so it made 10th gear anyways. The engine braking when coming to a stop isnt nearly as aggressive as my Edge ST 6 speed. The 10r60 in mine has been a smooth shifter so far. Ill...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I think higher mpg would just be a symptom of my skinny foot doing less in the 4 banger lol.

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I hate Eco, even with adaptive cruise. It takes forever to get going, leaving gaps for other cars to jump in. If I were that worried about MPG, I would have gotten an Explorer Platinum with the 4 banger. Just my 0.02. I've tried using Eco on my adaptive cruise stop-and-go trips home from work...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I get it. I've watched a lot of longer races between Dark Horses and others. They are quick off the line for sure. I've had the ioniqs and teslas just take off from a light in the mornings next to me. I'm like WTF, give me a warning. Oh wait you cant make any noise...

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

That's what made me laugh about modded and more HP being better for fuel economy. Um, the more mods, the more I get in the pedal...

    Which exhaust (need recommendations)

No clue on those, but the Thermal 2.5" sounds great under acceleration, and is pleasant and subdued at cruising speeds. Just what I wanted. Its basically straight 2.5" pipes with no drone.

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I looked, 1200 miles, mine says 19.2 on the Fuel Economy screen. Not sure how good that is or how long it reads over (time period). If thats accurate, Id hate to see it when I start using Sport more lol.

What’s everyone getting for fuel economy?

I think my new one is still figuring it out. Hand calculated on a trip, it was 23 miles per gallon. When I fill up on Friday for the following work week, the range is all over the place. My daily commute is pretty easy; in the morning, I get almost 65 miles per hour on cruise for 25 miles. In...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

That sucks. Sometimes you get “features disabled” warning on the app when it starts having lower voltage.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

That’s not bad for an AGM. Did you have any lower power notifications on the Ford app before it went out?

You are right. Wasn’t even considering that.
