EXPLORER ST DRIVING SCHOOL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

You're not really in the car all day. There is a stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway, another for lunch at a Country Club whose name escapes me, and then the afternoon at the driving course where you're in and out of the car quite a few times. She can even opt out of this part and just watch if...

Interior light does not come on when opening doors or lift gate.

There's a switch up by the rearview mirror that controls whether the lights come on with the door or not. Possibly while working on the door they turned the switch off so they didn't run the battery down.

Lift gate/Hatch issue - need help!

The first fix for almost any ST electrical issue is time. Shut it off, walk away and give it a little time.

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

I've noticed that it will memorize the speed limits om roads that are traveled frequently. Pulling out onto one local road it starts showing the limit as 55 well before we pass an actual sign. It does this on several road we travel often.

    ST Experience invite.

As the guy said when he gave us our car for the day: "Drive it like it was a rental".

    ST Experience invite.

The event is based in a tent in the hotel parking lot. You can easily walk. You'll enjoy the event and your wife will love the shopping in the area.

I apologize if someone has already answered- Forscan codes for ST?

If I remember right Nav wile Driving simply ells it you're in a country where that's legal, which messes up other location functions.

    Oil change schedule

I pretty much follow the Ford schedule, with the exception of the first oil change, which I had done at just over 1000 miles. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I've always changed the oil on a new engine like that.

    2021 ST Wiper Blade Replacement

I'm pretty sure those are the instructions for changing the wiper blades on the space shuttle.

    Rear windshield wiper delete.

You know if you do that and get f=caught your wife will tell all the other wives on their secret network and we'll all be in trouble.

I wish I had a black and red two-tone leather interior.

An optional choice or two would be nice, but without seeing what any other color would look like I love the all black. It has that "I mean business" look.

Ok to floor it at 1400km’s?

You should be fine. If my math is any good that's something like 8 or 900 miles. Go ahead and stand on it.

Ok to floor it at 1400km’s?

Common sense says to give it a little "break in" time before you beat it. On the other hand some of the fastest stock vehicles I've know was a fleet of Dodge Hemi powered police cars that were abused from mile one. Bottom line: I'll break my own car in before beating on it, but I'll be happy...

    Noisy gas tank

I haven't had any noise out of mine, but if I park on a downhill slope for a while with the tank below 1/2 the gauge goes to zero and stays there until I fill the tank. Seems like a problem with the baffles like Muddydogs said.

    Auto Start-Stop disable/turn-off best options??

No, it doesn't. The device only works with the auto stop/start. The brake hold can be controlled by it's own control button on the console.

    Auto Start-Stop disable/turn-off best options??

I don't know about Big Brothers position on these, but I do know that stopping and starting a turbo constantly isn't good for it. We had two twin turbocharged, inter cooled, 16 cylinder MTU diesels on my last ship and the engineer would scream if I shut them down without letting them cool off...

    Explorer Sport Roof Rust

We had that on the hood of our 2017 Platinum. It never got bad enough that I did anything about it, but it was disappointing. The closest thing I've seen to the roof rust is in cars that have been parked in the sun for years with no paint protection.

Which driving mode do you spend your time in?

Most of the time it's in Normal. Occasionally Slippery when we get heavy rain and usually in Sport when the wife isn't with me. Oh yeah, by demand it's in Sport when the grand kids are aboard.

My tailgate is possessed. I need a priest.

I'm far from an expert, but try locating the sensor (near where you kick your foot to open it) and unplug the wiring harness. Tape the ends in case you want to re-attach it in the future.
