22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

That’s great! Thanks for sharing this update. I believe my issue is also exhaust. Please let me know what system you went with. This is most likely in my future.

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

Agreed. Back to the dealer on the 6th and I’ll be pushing for a good look at everything. Thanks for the input

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

I’m not sure when the last alignment was. I’ve had the vehicle 4 months. This issue is either more drivetrain problems or an exhaust system problem. It’s getting worse by the day. Now when I shift from reverse to drive it jumps into gear. Low speed driving I’m getting abrupt upshifts in the...

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

I also have a 22 ST that I just purchased with 57K. My issue is a vibration when decelerating off the throttle. It’s a wave of sound/vibration. I just had the rear driveshaft replaced under warranty and it helped a little, but not fixed. It feels like exhaust, but it’s hard to pinpoint. A shift...

    low droning sound 25-45mph

Mine shakes and vibrates as well. Ongoing issue. If I could lemon law mine, I would. Unfortunately I bought used. I’ve been a Ford owner my whole life and I’m disappointed with the ST.

    2025 ST vibration

My 22 ST. Vibrates as well and I’ve been chasing the issue since I bought it used 3k miles ago. It’s now out of factory warranty at 60k. New rear driveshaft helped a little. It’s vibrates through the cabin on deceleration. Exhaust? drivetrain? Mounts? Fake exhaust note? Not tires or balance...

    New vibration

Thanks for the input! I’ll read through and determine what aligns with my issue. It really feels like exhaust, but could be any random drivetrain issue as well. I’ve put 3k on this used explorer and can’t believe how wacky this transmission is. Dealer says it’s normal. If this is normal shame on...

    New vibration

2022 ST. Just over 60k miles I have a new deceleration vibration occurring. It’s felt throughout the entire cabin. I let off the gas coming to a stop and a wave of vibration happens. I’m not sure if it’s drivetrain or exhaust. When I shift into neutral it goes away. I just had a new rear...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Thanks Sugar, Solid advice. I’ll have to find a tire shop that does road force balancing. These big rims can bend. I’ve run into that issue before. Good education for me with this driveshaft. It was causing the whole cabin to vibrate and mess with my ears.

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

I’d say the driveshaft took care of 95% of the vibration issues. My rig being 3 years old with almost 60k, it’s not going to run like new. I’m still thinking about turning off the fake engine noise and I’m sure a new set of rubber would help too. Overall huge improvement and taking into account...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Update: The rear driveshaft was a large part of the vibration problem. It was replaced yesterday and my rig runs way smoother. Calm drivetrain the way it should be. I have a good ford dealer that was willing to help me out. I appreciate the input on this post!

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Yeah I agree. My 2015 sport had a 6 speed that just worked. This 10 speed jumps around a little too often. Sport mode shifting is ridiculous. The downshifts are rather hard. Dealer says that’s normal.

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Thanks for your input. My previous car was a 2015 Edge sport and I loved it! Quick, quiet/smooth and hardly any issues. Traded it in at 120k for this Explorer ST. I’ve wanted one for years. I’m trying to stay positive, but a couple months in, the cool new toy rush has worn off. The build...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Update: Ford dealer replacing the drive shaft under warranty. The technician did understand the issue, but this may be a hard gremlin to track down. I’ve read various posts here with similar issues that go unresolved. If other owners have vibration issues: Turn off the radio. The fake engine...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Confirmed: This issue disappears in sport mode. The whole cabin sound is quieter. Weird. Just obnoxious hard down shifts lol

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Hello, The tires are Michelin primacy tour a/s. Not OEM and lots of meat left unfortunately (Walmart tire). They like to be run above 40psi and that makes the ride rough. I’ve played with tire pressure and it’s not the issue. Can’t wait to swap them out. Thanks for the reply

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Hello, I recently bought a used 2022 Explorer ST with 57K miles. Had it 2 months and I’m noticing an odd pulse or cabin vibration between 40-55mph. It comes in a wave or frequency. Most apparent with light throttle and decelerating. Only in that window of speed and it’s irritating. I have an...
