aFe Power Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System

Hahaha yes. Ok how bout this scenario, you’re cruising down the freeway at speed, no stop and go traffic. You’re making a hint more power. You’re engine doesn’t have to work as hard to do the same amount of work. Could it be possible that you’d be saving a bit of fuel in that aspect?

aFe Power Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System

No worries. I was getting about 21-22mpg on the freeway/highway on longer trips now it’s been closer to 24-25mpg just my observation. Same stretch of freeway/highway visiting family. Only variable that maybe changed is temperature & maybe weight since no1 packs the exact same way every trip...

aFe Power Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System

It’s a subtle difference. One cool thing I liked about putting one in is now I can hear the turbos better. Which could be good or bad depending on the individual. MPG wise for road trips or longer drives I’ve noticed an improvement of 2-3 (@about 73MPH with normal cruise control, manual mode)...

    Ford Performance Tune

Might be worth it if it actually makes the 30hp. I did a little checking around in the Mustang forum. Some1 made about 38 peak hp, with the 2.3L, with the Calibration & only a MBRP race exhaust, everything else bone stock.

    Ford Performance Tune

Awwww crud! The Whipple Stage 1 for awhile was only listed through 21’ as CARB legal as well. Motherlovers. Yeah now that I see it, 22’& 23’ owners will have to wait til they update it for 22’s & the 23’s.

    Ford Performance Tune

Actually this will fly in CA. It has a CARB EO# meaning it’s CARB legal, meaning it’s legal to use this in CA. I’m guessing that It won’t be available to owners in Alaska.

    Ford Performance Tune

Ok but think about it this way, $585 for an aFe Intake for 15hp(going off AFE’s numbers & Whoosh Motorsports’ prices), & another $1500 for a Thermal Exhaust($1500 for 2.5”, $1700 for 3”)and you’re probably close to making the same gains right? So $700($695 from Lethal Performance) for 30hp is...

    Ford Performance Tune

I dunno, 30hp for $700 relatively isn’t bad. People spend more on an exhaust and I don’t think they make as much as this tune. I’m in CA so I was considering the Whipple Stage 1 but that’s freakin’ $2100(but I guess that includes the IC for that price). For $700 and not have to worry about Smog...

IAT’s - Stock vs Whipple Intercooler

For sure the warranty on the factory IC you are replacing will be void. But the rest of your car’s warranty should still be intact. Putting in an IC wouldn’t necessarily be related to, let’s say the brake components or your electrical components. So if you get the midpipe rattle, as most do...

Nice. Let us know how the fit is. Some1 just posted that the Mishimoto has a fitment issue.

Any1 know if there’s a similar issue with the CV fab or Whipple for the 22’s?

    Badge replacement

I’m sure they would. Just might be easier to do it yourself. Well I guess it depends on how busy your dealership is. Might need to make an appointment and all.

    Badge replacement

You could go with a sleeper look with it debadged. But also I get the frustration of it coming off a brand new vehicle. Like Unbroken mentioned, maybe some hvy duty double sided tape will do the job.
