I'd imagine most people disconnect the factory sub when using something aftermarket, but there is no technical reason you can't keep it connected and still feed the line converter. I had my front speakers tapped that way briefly in an attempt to get around the sub volume issue.

There is no option for tow except tow. As I understand it, there is specific management in that mode to prevent disastrous outcomes under rated loads. There are plenty other options to place other settings anyway.

That's what I'm thinking. Then tow in tow and stock+ elsewhere. I do actually use eco when driving around town with the Mrs and her sensitive neck. As long as the dialed back throttle response stays intact, I should be able to avoid her questioning my driving to much.
