Considering Trading My F150 For An ST

Lane keeping is something enabled. Look in the Synch panel, "driver assist", I think. It may be off in there.

Considering Trading My F150 For An ST

Interesting - mine had 15,500 when I bought it. Dealer demo out of Tampa. Except for the quirky backup assist/camera, it's been a great car. I've pulled my trailer over 200 miles recently. The Ram would have gotten abysmal mileage and not done the greatest job. The ST is at about 18 mpg and...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

What leads do I tap into for the brake light flasher? I have the module, but I don't know which is the hot and which is a ground.

Considering Trading My F150 For An ST

Same here, kinda. My Hemi Ram was just sitting, not being used as much as in the past. I traded my '19 Escape and the Ram on my ST. It pulls my trailer and gets better fuel economy. I sometimes miss the Ram (I loved that truck - had it 13 years).

    Auto Start / Stop

I hear cars all around starting up at traffic lights and just cringe. I'm fortunate to have only ten traffic lights between home & work and only have to stop at three or less. If my commute was the agony many experience, I'd probably be on my second battery if I left the A.S.S. engaged.

    Auto Start / Stop

5%?! Not even close. The fuel saving won't offset the cost of starters and batteries.

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

I'm not even close. 24,850 as of yesterday. Bought it with 15,500 last June.

Used ForScan to remove the hyper-flash, add global close. Tried to get the lane-change flash and fogs as cornering changes, but no luck.

New Member looking for information to make the most of ST ownership

My Dad only bought custom-ordered cars-a whole stream of Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs, from 1958 to 1963. He would order in March or April so the "bugs could be worked out" of the early models.

Welcome aboard. Be mindful of the "deletions". Try to find one with the only deletion being auto stop/start. Make sure you get the two-bolt rear diff. I love all the whirly-gigs and fancy gizmos on my '20. Ford's "engineering" is suspect, but what can you do?

Not even 6 mos and got a chip/crack in the windshield :(

My wife's RAV got one like that. Safelite did the repair thing. I don't believe it's gotten any bigger. Depending on your state's insurance laws, you can try the repair route. Many states have a no-deductible windshield replacement.

Washed, waxed, wheel/tire cleaned, DFT detail sprayed, Invisible Glassed, Rain-Xd, vacuumed. Three hours - I'm beat.

    Today I learned...

Yep, disengage the parking brake (love that sound) and the A.S.S.

    And not one dent….

A former boss bought a white Econoline 350 window van years ago - it had been SERIOUSLY damaged by a hail storm. We called it "The Golf ball". It ran great, just looked wounded. He probably put 200K on it.

Electrical issues radio will not power on, phones will not sync and GPS locates you in Wisconsin when you are in Washington state.

Mine does those shenanigans when the BMS decides the battery's low. I put it on a charger every so often. That helps.

Muffled phone calls @ higher speeds

I accidentally turned the phone audio down. All I had to do was turn the volume up during a call, problem solved. Are you on the call with the windows open? Since the phone is a speaker phone, extraneous noise will tend to mute the caller.

Extended Warranty - Yes or No

When I bought my Mustang, the credit union offered a basic coverage policy for $2,200. I declined and put $3,000 in a savings account. So far, I've hit it only when the turbo failed for $1,700. I add a bit from time to time. Having said all that, I did go for an extended service contract on the...

Make sure you text drive very thorough before signing any paperwork. I’ve got a 2023 explorer st fully loaded, disappointed with a few things for sure

Mine, too. Never enforced, though. I see cops driving while fiddling with the laptop, so definitely not taken seriously. Har.
