Did that once during my service tech years. Didn't make for a good time. Had to learn the hard way to always gently put the wiper arm back down lol.

I generally try to let whatever vehicle I'm driving warm up just long enough for the oil to be circulated fully and for the high idle to drop down to normal. A couple minutes in most conditions. If it's actually cold out, 5-10 minutes. If it's mega, mega, mega cold, 10-20.

I'd be interested to know where those were obtained.

With so many electronics, solenoids, motors, etc. in cars now, I have learned from experience that some weird noises are pretty much to be expected. My soon-to-be-previous car's electronic throttle has made a loud electronic whining and clicking for a minute or two after the engine is shut off...

"Not bad", "Pretty comfy", "Good seating position", *got onto highway onramp and went from 30kph to 120kph by the time I hit 2/3rds of the way up the ramp* "HOLY SH*T"

I read or heard somewhere that it was to maintain the appearance of the tips, so they wouldn't get discolored or stained.

I'd be interested to know what the difference is between the brakes in the Street Pack and those in the High Performance pack. I've taken three test drives, all in Explorers equipped with the Street Pack, and the brakes were, shall we say, grippy. I can only imagine what anything further...
