What power level does traction become an issue?

That will differ by case. Suspension, tires, tune, weight etc will all be factors. I barely spin, if at all. That's with running 93 DMS tune, IC, DP's, CAI, Stage 5 CRP Turbos etc. Might attest some of that to the fact that I have 300lbs of equipment on board and sticky tires. It's my guess...

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

I know right? I had to take the front, side windows tint off to pass inspection. They weren't that dark at all! I have no disrespect for law enforcement either but we have no justice system. Ask me how I know that. Ok, I'm going back on topic.

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

Thanks. Right?!? And the kicker is, it's illegal. Law enforcement has done nothing to stop them and that's why it's so prevalent. It used to be a secondary offense and was changed to a primary but for what?

I agree with hbalek's stats. I live in the same town.

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

I'm glad to hear she's doing ok! Hope she gets to full recovery quickly! Texting and driving is one of my biggest peeves! I've been run clear off the road 3 times by them. One time it was by a semi on a 65mph highway. I was blessed that there was a break in the guard rail exactly where I was...

    S&B or K&N CAI

Yes, a little difference in performance but more critically, will give better turbo longevity. Because the larger wheel needs a bit more air, the stock intake will cause it to spin faster to create the boost it's asked for. With the upgraded CAI, it can create the same boost at a lower turbo...

    Tuning

DPs and exhaust won't give you much more ooomph. DPs are rated to give 20-25 more HP which you won't feel much with the butt dyno. 3" exhaust will probably be louder but again, the stock system will hold 700HP so it's not a bottleneck unless you're pushing more than that. It will help however if...

    Tuning

A 93 DMS tune is also good for up to E30 so you don't have to change tunes there. Only if you go up to E50 or E85 do you have to reflash.

    S&B or K&N CAI

From what has been mentioned, you'll run out of turbo before you reach a bottleneck with the stock CAI. Same with stock exhaust because it will hold 700HP. I purchased the S&B because of looks and quiet. Only reason I acquired one is because an aftermarket CAI was highly recommended by the...

I'll have to try and find that. Thanks!

What the flock man! I've had 2 repair shops take an extended look and came up with nothing. We're better off fixing our own vehicles. Wish I had a lift. Good luck with yours!

    Rattling

Yes, I had mine installed professionally because I didn't have the garage to do it myself. I def know how long of a process it entails. The clunk I hear comes from underneath the passenger side, closer to the front suspension.

Unfortunately, it's called planned obsolescence! No dealer wants a car that will last a lifetime without serious repair work ... at "any" cost.

You're getting that low speed passenger side clunk too? I thought it may be something that my mechanic left loose when he installed turbos and downpipes. He had to drop the subframe for that. If you find what that is, please inform us and I will do the same if I track my clunk down.

    Voltage/battery management issue

These guys sound like a bad joke! If anyone should ascertain the proper starter for this vehicle, it should be the stealership! I would also make a case that the coolant tube broke when the Explorer was in "their" possession. That 10 day ETA better be because of a backorder. No way the repair...
