Wanting to change wheels on 25 explorer

Perfect thank you I have been searching the forum and hadn't found anything so I appreciate the response. I was wanting to go with something like a 20 x 10 35mm offset but a tire size 275/50x20 I want the flush look I don't want them poking out

Wanting to change wheels on 25 explorer

I've started down this path as well, and I also decided to go with 20" wheels. I haven't purchased anything yet, but I started a thread and found some options. If you go with a 20x10.50 wheel, you'll want a 30mm-35mm offset. And you want a tire size of 295/45/20. You should be good to go...

Wanting to change wheels on 25 explorer

Hey we were eventually wanting to buy new wheels and tires for our 25 explorer ST. We were going to wait until we needed new tires but we got a screw in the sidewall of one and it's unrepairable so here we are sooner than expected. We want to go down to 20s. What have others gone with, size...

    Forged 21’s

Unbroken did you ever switch to 21x10.5? If so did you keep the same +30 offset?

    2025 ST Explorer - 24" rims

Other than the perceived power loss there’s no issues. Anyone wanting 24’s already knows how they’ll ride and handle those don’t count to me. Keep the tire height at or below about 31.8”…width and offset at 10 or 10.5 and +30 and you’ll be fine.

    Any issues with 315/35-22 tires

They look kinda goofy up front being so wide and will very likely rub the inner fender liner. Stick with +30 offset…any lower will push them out too far, any higher and you’ll run the risk of hitting the strut body with the tire. 305/35 is a better fit for a lowered car. 305/40 for stock height.

    22” Wheels??

    What wheels are those?

FS Superforged 22x10 wheels and Lexani tires

If you put a 325 on the front it’s going to get into the strut. 305/35 for a lowered car is perfect. Most 305/40’s work well for a stock height car. 315/35 is max up front and even that looks comical.

+30 offset, they fit the Explorer perfectly. They right to the fender. I would just put a 315/35 or 325/35 tire on them.

    305/40/22 Anybody Rubbing?

If your vehicle wasn’t lowered or maybe on PIU springs/shocks do you think it would be rub-free?

It’s a +30 offset so any explorer on here with that setup will be the same. Unbroken could give you a better idea about the 315. I’m using 305’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can you post a couple of pics from front and back to show how flush front and rear are? Would 315s be too wide?

What is the offset on these? Thx.

Heavier than Velgens but aren’t those a true forged wheel? I have a set of Velgen that I have had no trouble with but they are cast wheels, rotary forging is not true forging. Got a deal I couldn’t say no to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stock Looking Wheel

Just a heads up. The wheels are a bit thick in the middle to keep the oem look and also have a +30 offset. I used a 1.5” lug nut to fill out the deep well. They are heavier than my velgens but lighter than stock Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wheels/Tires, Am I good to go?

Interesting, on Aodhans website the AFF3 has a 35mm option but only on a 5x120 pattern. The 5x114 is 45mm. Oh well I'll definitely consider the AFF7. Thanks again (y)

Wheels/Tires, Am I good to go?

That won’t work. But Aodhan makes the AFF7 in a 20x10.5 with a +35 offset which works, and is very close to the AFF3...

Wheels/Tires, Am I good to go?

Thanks for your help. I found some 20x10.50 Aodhans that I like, but they are 45mm offset. Is that too much?
