Yesterday, my 2020 ST spontaneously combusted. Driving down the road and suddenly it slowed way down, oil light went on, and it started smoking. Pulled over immediately and full on fire. I know there was a recall early on, but supposedly my VIN was not affected. We maintained it well. Yeah that’s ugly. Hoping all are safe. Guessing maybe oil line blew and dumped on something hot. That happened to me at Road America in my CTS-V but I blew the motor at 130mph

Yikes! Glad you're OK. just curious, would car insurance cover something like that?

Wow, those pics are crazy, looks like you were attacked by a dragon. Glad you are okay, did they ever tell you what caused it?

Of course. That’s literally what insurance is for.

I heard it was warm down there but damn!!!! glad you are okay and hope they cover you for everything!!!!
