rainy day yesterday, figured the box showed up and I called my favorite shop, they were done in 1.5 hours, and sounds awesome!

It sounds great. Nice aggressive cold start, quiets down when warmed up. Barely noticeable at light throttle, no drone, and audible when accelerating. Not even remotely obnoxious. I do believe Ford should have done something like this for the performance-oriented ST from the factory.

oohh...lookit you! I have the 3 inch, im curious to hear them together. You're seriously down the street from me - we should compair the 2.5 and the 3. Im really curious to hear the difference cause that sounds just like mine on cold start.

hmm - so are the midpipes behind the cats? I ordered the catback system so they'd be included right?
considering anything 'catback' would be behind the catalytic convertor pipes

yes the mid pipes are after the cats but before the “catback” on this platform.

the stock midpipes are 100% guaranteed to rattle / leak / fail because they are garbage. You can buy the thermal mid pipes separate or together as a kit lethal sells it either way.

No it doesn’t… you must be new the the Explorer ST. It has midpipes that aftermarket companies failed to include in their car back kits. You guys need to understand how to do research on parts before you buy them. Not all cat backs are equal on this platform… cdubya even mentioned this fact earlier in this thread when the cheaper link was posted.

look at the listings you can see midpipes are not included in the catback.

https://www.lethalperformance.com/search/?q=Thermal+explorer

You had to buy the listing with midpipes or buy the midpipes separately to have a complete catback.

Then you go on to mention a turbo back exhaust option that literally is not a turboback since it doesn’t include downpipes… get your terminology down before you confuse any more people.

oh thats shitty. Cat back should be "from the cat back to end of the car"...
