My wife and I ordered an ST in December but that order was somehow screwed up. It has already been built, but some how two of the features we wanted didn’t show up on the order (moonroof and roof rails). Luckily I was reviewing the window sticker and noticed the discrepancy before it got out of hand.
Cue us ordering a second one due to the dealer’s mistake on the 22nd of January. For that one we still haven’t received a VIN
What has everyone seen timeline-wise?
Our order of events:
ST #1
12/23/21 - Order placed and confirmed
1/6/22 - Scheduled for production (3/28)
1/19/22 - Rescheduled production (1/24)
2/4/22 - Build complete - Ship date created (2/28)
ST #2
1/22/22 - Order placed and confirmed (with high priority)
Let me tell you it’s very frustrating having to re-submit our order a whole month later… :/ Given what people have been saying, order fulfillment has definitely slowed down which is disappointing. The dealer specifically told us that the moonroofs have been a cause of most of the delays due to the chip shortage which makes it suck even more. I’m expecting the car will probably take until at least May at this point but it was so exciting to see the first one potentially being here in a few more weeks.
