What Tire Pressure???

I was a tire pro in my former life. Almost always low 30's is going to be perfect. Higher pressure will result in harsher ride and will wear out tread quicker. At times, say like pulling a trailer, you may want to bump up the rear tire pressure. Dealers like to keep pressure up some because some of us freak out when the low pressure warning comes on in the winter and some of us are not knowledgeable enough to just add a few pounds of air.

I personally think the 33 psi is for the other Explorer’s !!!
The Explorer ST comes with 21 inch rims with the scorpion low profile tires witch uses more air pressure to accommodate the tires and rims for better performance and tight handling of the vehicle !!!
I strongly believe the numbers on the door jams are for the other Explorer’s with the big fat tires !!

I mean no offense but rather than leave bad information in a place where people might rely on what is written I'll post this. The quoted post is not correct. It is well known within the industry that the sticker on the door pillar is specifically for the vehicle on which it is installed.
Go take a look at a couple of F150's of the same year in different trim levels. You'll almost always see the higher optioned vehicles have less available cargo capacity than the vehicles without all the bells and whistles. Those bells and whistles eat up cargo capacity. Even a spray-in bed liner will change the numbers.
You'll also see a couple of other numbers usually on the white sticker, the one on the yellow sticker is the Cargo Capacity, which is what is in or on the vehicle, passengers, suitcases, and whatnot. The other numbers you'll see are GVWR usually on the white sticker, for both the front and rear axles. These axle numbers added together and combined with the cargo capacity are what the vehicle is rated to tow/carry fully loaded.
The recommended tire PSI recommendation is for the vehicle where the sticker resides.
There is no need to take my word for this. All of this info is available in the owner's manual and the tire manual that came with the vehicle. If you don't have the owner's manual there is a nice electronic version found on the Web.
