Is there anything I can do simple to get the real potential outta this system? It's like it is a quarter turn less till full volume. I feel like it's there, I just need to turn it a lil more lol... My BOSE system in my Caddy was an absolute beast!!

Yes. Cut the stock sub and add a powered sub like the JL

Then when you cut the factory sub you just run the B&O at 0 bass level and just used the JL sub and the speakers sound good without running any bass through them.

It’s expensive and intensive to remove the factory system to do custom. Adding a powered sub is the best reasonable option I’ve seen yet for the Explorer 2020-2021

When you say "cut the sub" ... do you mean literally cut the wires or just turn it down to 0 in the settings haha

I cut the old sub out and used the factory box, I also used the inputs for the sub and ran them to a standalone amp. It might not be up to some peoples standards but I need the spare tire well for storage and well the spare as we take 2-3 cross country drives a year.

This sounds infinitely better than the garbage Ford sent out of the factory.

I don't have mine yet but from what I have heard, upgrading the sub with an amp makes a significant improvement. Some are happy with it after that. Then there are people like UNBROKEN......enough said. I am doing something similar but with cheaper gear replacing the sub and front 6 speakers with a couple DSP amps. I listened to the B&O on my test drive and knew I wouldn't be happy with it so I am collecting gear so I can replace it as soon as I get it.
