Tire size suggestions for 22s

Have a set of Velgen VF9's coming soon and looking at tire's. Not much available in 315/35/22 or 305/35/22. 305s seems only pilot sports or Lexani. Anyone had both sizes and/or have a recommendation on size that will work best? Wheel size btw is the standard 22x10.5 +30

I have that wheel size. My first tire set were 305/35/22 Pirelli Asimmetrico. Second set is 295/40/22 Pirelli Asimmetrico (not M&S stamped Mercedes OEM tire). The slightly narrower tire does not follow the road surface as much (which is good) and the slightly taller sidewalls make for a less jarring ride over the pavement cracks (which is also good). 35s shown first then 40s. 305/35/22 Pirelli Asimmetrico currently not available and may be discontinued. 295/40/22 Pirelli Asimmetrico available on Tirerack.

I’m running 305/40/22 on same wheel measurements. I don’t mind the little extra sidewall of the 40 up here in the frozen tundra. Roads up here suck like the 49’ers.

I'm also running 305/40/22 on Lexani 22X10's, I like the additional sidewall cushion for daily driving.

The biggest challenge is simply availability at this point. Pirellis would be great but no one has them and at my preferred size of 315 there are not really any great tires available either. One benefit of being in Texas is that much of the roads I drive on are cement so I don’t have much in the way of concern about the road surface pulling the vehicle. At this point I think I’m just going to go with the Pilot super sports in the 305/35.

Thanks! The offset is +30 like most wheels you'll see in posts here, I was looking for 22X10.5 but in this wheel they only had the 10" width available. I like it because I don't like when the wheels are wider than the tires anyway, gives me a little more curb protection too! Yes, it's sittin on H&R springs.

Just want to be aligned with the findings from multiple threads.

I am specifically looking to go with a 305/40/22. Would either a 22x10 +30 or 22x10.5 +35 be correct wheel size options?

I could be convinced to use a 295/40/22, would that change the offset of either a 10 or 10.5 inch wide wheel?

As stated originally I have the 22x10.5 +30 20220208_160130.jpg 20220208_160117.jpg 20220208_160106.jpg offset for the wheels and ended up with Michelin Pilot super sports in 305/35/22. For me personally the proportions are better in this set up and no change in the overall tire height.

Based on all of the information on this thread the perfect wheel size is what I and many others have.

I can't imagine on that set up there is and a number of guys are ruining that tire size. With slightly wider set up on mine and sightly less side wall I have zero rubbing off any kind.

Looking to put new wheels on.
Would you say that sizing makes the wheels even with the wheel wells??
Also do you have it lowered??

Yes, the size and offset researched and determined by @UNBROKEN is the perfect setup for the ST. And yes mine is sitting on H&R Springs along with Steeda rear sway bar and strut tower brace. My wife and I love it!
