Front License Plate Bracket

Need some help. Can anyone tell me the Ford part number for the front license plate bracket on the 2020 Explorer ST? Bonus, can you show me how it is attached and by what fasteners? I bought in PA but live in upstate NY. Thanks!

Or maybe I can get an aftermarket one and mount it lower. Anyone know for sure where all the sensors are besides the obvious visible ones?

They use rivets to mount the bracket. Be thankful your's didn't come with them mounted. You can probably get a tow hook style mount which should clear the front sensors. You also can't block the lower grill area because that's where the Adaptive Cruise Control sensor is mounted.

I may be overthinking this but I see a line tracing from the bottom hole where the HN2 Nut is traced from the top of the sensor bracket 14C022. I don't have that HN2 nut and I don't want to take the chance of messing with the sensor bracket by drilling the hole and putting in the rivet. Who would have thought a license plate bracket would be such a PITA :) ? Maybe I will just look at the tow hook option but with the snow we get here and it sticks out, I am not too thrilled with that idea.

I would avoid drilling into the bumper at all costs. Even using double sided tape is better than putting holes in the bumper.

Ohio supposedly doing away with front tag in 2020. Lots of push back from law enforcement. When and if this happens I'm thinking about drilling out the rivets and installing black stainless steel bolts/screws. Any other suggestions?

Mine came with one mounted and I'm not having any issues with the adaptive cruise control.

I thought about drilling out the rivots but it looks like a pain. I think I might just get this Ford Performance plate and call it a day.

3/16 drill through the middle and pull the plastic rivet straight out. Just did mine and ordered plugs to match.

I live in PA and we don't need a front plate. The ST I just bought had a front license plate bracket and it was almost a deal breaker for me. I hate the look of a front plate where not required by law. My dealer took the plate off and plugged the holes and all is well. DC3DECD4-C13A-46A0-B7D0-9A5468E8BDEF.jpeg
