road salt vs your best paint protection

I've watched multiple youtube videos on paint protection. Other than paint protection film and professionally applied ceramic coating, has anyone had good success with their paint protection? The easier to apply, the better. I have yet to see durability tests on these products against road salt. They all seem to use degrading agents that car paint would never see. I currently use Turtle Wax Seal n Shine. I was hoping that with just a high pressure garden hose spray, I could rinse off the salt without scrubbing. A salt haze was still left on the paint. Thanks for your input.

Funny you should ask.
I just washed mine yesterday.
I live in West KY ,and in my area they use a liquid brine solution on the roads. Nasty , messy white stuff.
We had 2 weeks of snow and ice until this week , my truck was cover in white salt.
Yesterday was 65 deg outside so I tried something.
I used my small electric pressure washer ,1600 psi, and sprayed it right off back to the shine.

I had 2 coats of Nexgen , spray and wipe ceramic seal .
Easy to apply .
I'll probably do another coat in April , just because I want to.

Hi,

My paint protection strategy is to leave the ST in the garage during winter time to avoid salt altogether.

Cheers,

Ron

Based on what I have been told by most "car people" is the best defense from road salt is just keeping your car clean with frequent washes. Don't get me wrong, I did have my Explorer STprofessionally coated with System X max g+ and a good undercoating, but the best part about the coatings is that they make it easier to wash your car, even a touch free wash works well. My two cents...
