Using Android Auto, the Bluetooth forces itself ON and connects to the SUV. But on my recent trip (3+ hours), phone calls coming in could be answered but I could not hear anyone. I had to hang up the call and initiate the call back for it to work again. It happened about 10 times to 10 different people. So it must be on my side.
When I got home, I ended up deleting the bluetooth connection on my phone & SUV, then reconnected them.

This is the 3rd time in 5 months that I've had to do this (temporary) fix. What is going on?!

Yes, I don't like how it automatically and continuously re-connects to bluetooth. I try to turn bluetooth off and it automatically turns it back on. Very frustrating.

I have the same issue.
Upgraded the software on my Ford (downloaded the official update from Ford and used a USB flash) - to no avail.
The only workaround -- and IT WORKS!!! -- is when you've answered the call, on the touch screen of the Ford click on the Bluetooth icon (or whatever connectivity sign they put there), change to phone's speaker, and then switch back to Bluetooth source (all still on the same touch screen).
Now it will work.
You are welcome! (as lame as this method is)..

The non perm fix for this is go into phone settings on the explorer and change the ring tone to "use phone's ringtone" It will not stay on that setting for ever, but does for a bit. Very frustrating.
