Am I crazy or is there know where you can find proper jack points and procedures to lift your ST? Looked at web until my eyes fell out. I can find every vehicle built except a 2020 explorer. Don’t get me wrong I’ve lifted individual corners to replace wheels etc. I’m going to order a Quick Jack for the C8 and would like to use it for both vehicles.

There is no front center jack point. The rear differential can be used for the rear.

If you get down beneath the vehicle you will find arrows pointing to where you can place the jack. Just behind the front wheels and just in front of the rear wheels.

I read that and I guess I’m blind. I guess you get that way a t 70 HaHa.
I’m guessing they go on the edge of the pinch points. Thanks going back out with brighter light as eyesight goes at 70 too! Thanks! Jim

get yourself one of these. Once you locate the spot at the pinch welds it makes it a little easier to locate the floor Jack.... Thanks to STJIM for bringing this up as it got me under my ST where I discovered that some dealership shop genius also couldn't figure out those (when you're under the side) well marked lift points and put their lift pads 4 inches forward under a (Not Intended for lift) area and damaged the protruding tab along that body/floor pan seam folding it over and cracking off paint. Damaged Body tab from Improper lifting of Explorer.jpg
Tape measure is in the proper lifting point section.

Ok, just went and checked mine, They seem to have placed in in between the arrows. However, it is a thin portion, not a flat one. Is it where it is supposed to go. I am not sure if I am being clear with my question, it is like a thin metal area, like the folded edge protruding downand Not a flat one like I expected.

The lift points are that edge you're looking at, if you look at the top of the Ford jack, it has a groove for that edge, the Potauto Adapter allows standard round plate topped jacks to lift without damaging that standing seam.

Ok, thank you, then my seam is slightly damaged, it has a split in the seam on one side. Either they should change the jack design or change the mounting points.

They have magnets so they would stay in place, if you happen to forget them there. But I don’t think they would remain there permanently.

No. They dealer (i know, I know) should know exactly where to place their Jack’s.

These I would suggest are for the home mechanic type. I found it helps to locate and stabilize the lift when I use my floor jack.

And where would you place the jack stands? I haven't gotten under mine yet, but lifting is only half the battle....
