So this morning when I went to the ford website. Oddly it changed the mentioned horsepower to 385. Maybe it’s a website error.

Interesting! I didn't notice that. I have only seen the 400 number thrown away.

The main Explorer page says max available HP is 385, but if you go to the ST specific page is says 400.
absolutely just saw that as well.
my bad I know it’s a useless post.
I was just wondering if someone else here had any info on a possibly new model coming out or something after I saw that.

Can't add anything to this, but it wouldn't surprise me. I just read where Ford is now going to charge you $495 dollars if you want the front trunk on a new EV Mustang, if you don't pay then you don't get the trunk.

I just hope theyre not retuning it for emissions, which wouldn’t make sense with the deregulation but you never know. That’s odd.

I remember reading that the F150 Ecoboost and Powerboost were getting gasoline particulate filters... I wonder if the Explorer is next in line for that treatment and this HP reduction info is a result of that?

I just dont see a reason for them to be doing that, especially considering all the deregulations.

It probably is only 385 if you're running 87 octane

Maybe there's a trim getting a detuned version, like the Platinum and King Ranch used to have.

Edit: The model in OP's screen shot is the Active 100A variant, so probably detuned.

They say say “maximum available HP” which still wouldn’t be necessarily correct, but theyre not saying it’s available on the Active,
