Spot on thread! Still in the research phase but went out to look where I could possibly install one today and the location this thread shows appeared to be the only logical spot. Googled redarc brake controller install and Bingo! Thanks for posting

I installed the Redarc liberty on my 2025 Explorer Platinum today. There are some differences on the 25 model that took some figuring out. The fuse panel is no longer on the driver-side dash panel, so there is no screw access behind that panel. Instead, you need to remove two 7mm screws holding the OBD port, which frees the bottom of the panel and also separates it from the kick panel (see pic). I also found there is a bolt holding the kick panel to the center transmission console (see pic). With the bolt removed, along with the nut behind the brake pedal, and after prying out the christmas tree fastener, the kick panel comes out easily. I also installed the switch in the lighting control panel, as in the original post. However, I found that, in addition to drilling the hole for the switch, you need to make another small hole just above that cuttout for the Redarc light to shine through.

Hello,
I have a 2022, I just installed a Tekonsha Voyager iD Brake Controller just to the right of the fuse door, where you all have it is way better, I didn't see this before I installed it and that looked to thick and I unfortunately did not look closer, I may be buying a new kick panel and move it there.

Does anyone know where the blue bake controller wire in the gray plug is routed?
I have an aftermarket hitch and PO used a 4 pin that plugs into the tail light harness, I don't see a uscar 7-pin connector in the back, that should be tied up around behind the bumper or a blue wire.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
