What’s this Button Do?

Guys and Girls,

I found this button in a depression to the left of my rearview mirror and have no idea what it is. I went through the owners manual but trouble is, I can’t find it anywhere.

Any idea what it is?

It’s a sensor, not a button.

Ah that explains why it has louvers/
is ventilated!

It’s a humidity sensor designed to help keep the windshield from fogging up. Ford has a patent on this system and I think the 2020 Explorer was the first US vehicle to get it.
