Excited to have it and just got through setting up all the features, transferring my old Sirius subscription over, and getting everything the way I want it. Going tomorrow morning for a window tint since I’m in Colorado and the sun is brutal here. Coming from a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum and enjoying the ST so far.

I was a bit surprised there is no handsfree tailgate option or HUD as those were two features I loved and used often on my old Pathfinder, and also surprised the steering wheel adjustment is manual instead of powered, but those are minor annoyances.

Any tips as far as how long the break-in period on the engine is and what mileage I should get my first oil change at?

As for the options you were expecting and did not get, many popular items were removed by FORD during their transition from Job 1 to Job 2 production changes around Thanksgiving time 2024. Add no 2nd row window screens and console between the Captain's Chairs, the Sun Roof and Sound System upgrades became a separate package for $2,995, and NO ST logo on the Fobs. Those not taking the Sun and Sound package got 8 (or maybe it is 10) speakers instead of 14 in their B&O system. MIne was built on 5 Dec 2024 as a Job 2 vehicle.

I am old school, no cruise control, varied the speeds around 55 to 70 mph and no aggressive accelerations above 4,000 rpm during the first 1,000 miles. Just past 1,000 miles I took mine back to the dealer for their free first oil change/new filter and Multipoint Inspection. I've always done that with my vehicles so I took advantage of their freebee. My expectations are to get 10 good years out of it.

I read that about the options being deleted - and totally wondered why my fob didn’t have an ST logo either! Mine was built 4/25 so it was probably a Job3 build.

I looked at the ford site and besides the sun and sound package (which I got) I didn’t see any other options packages besides a few interior accessories. In the end, I’ll not even notice not using a HUD or a foot activated liftgate after a few months.

I’m used to changing my oil every 6 months independent of mileage on my previous vehicles since I only drive 5k miles a year or so, but will change the oil in this one after 1k miles no matter what the dealership says. I plan to get 7-10 years out of this as well, as I baby my cars and stay on top of all maintenance. Thanks!

Yes, I do all (3) three of our cars every 6 months also. The Dealer did not object to my "early" service request. In fact, my Service Advisor thought it was a great idea to do the first change then as it gave them a chance to give it the Multipoint Inspection and a good look over.

Hi! Taking delivery of my 2025 Vapor Blue ST on Tuesday the 17th. I'm a long time Ford fan with a long list of Fords. If you might remember the days of Ford Truck World (both the website and the magazine), you might remember be as "Tom in Tacoma" (I've moved to Wisconsin since then). Looking forward to learning and contributing what I can! Man, I'm looking forward to getting my new ride in the garage!

Just wanted to introduce myself since I will probably spend more time over here compared to the lincoln forum, I haven't seen much activity over there.

I'm Jeremy and am currently shopping for a 2022-2023 Aviator Black Label Grand Touring. I want all the extra stuff so my wife can be comfortable since she has fibromyalgia.....but she also likes a quick car. I really wanted the hybrid since I love my F150 with the powerboost. The electric only range is ok, but the extra torque and big bump in city MPG's is nice. If I can get 25 mpg around town with a small lift on 33's in a King Ranch with only a 1.5 kW hour battery, I imagine that the Aviator should do very well.

I've owned plenty of fun vehicles, and quite a few pickups. But I've never owned a pickup that was practical and fun. Ford knocked that one out of the park, but a couple small issues like a small auxiliary battery (easy upgrade) plagued it with other issues that killed the reliability scores with a bunch of customers. I've never been a Ford fan boy, but my F150 has won me over.....so the mechanical cousin of the ST should be a good choice for my wife. I plan to buy the 125k Premiumcare ESP, so this will be a vehicle my wife keeps for a while.

I will probably be looking at a tune and reliability mods to start out. So I will be digging through this forum to find the best options.

Tune from Livernois, intercooler, catch can, trans/oil coolers.........maybe a diff brace?

Hello everyone, first timer to the forum. My name is JB and i have a 2025 Explorer ST Black. Only thing i have done thus far is a bigger inner cooler, cold pipe with a Turbo Smart BOV, custom exhaust, window tint and lower springs. It only has 3900 miles on it since i bought in December of 2024. I have a few more things that i want to do to it looks wise. Maybe some GT350 stripes from front to back in silver, but im up for suggestions from you guys on what i should do performance wise. Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you’re well on your way to a custom ride you enjoy. The GT350 stripes look great! I did mine with a matte black and it looks nice. I think tinting the orange reflector on the side of the headlight makes a nice difference. It’s all the little things you do to make it unique to you.

Hey all, I'm Paul, and as you may have guessed, retired Navy sailor!

My wife and I just retired, and took home a 2025 Explorer ST last night! Traded up from a 2017 Edge (and a 2018 Escape before that).
Her name is Shadow, and is the Carbonized Gray Metallic exterior. This *should* be our last car purchase (fingerscrossed).

We all live in Tucson and I look forward to hearing more about this vehicle, and upgrades for her!

Make sure you get enrolled in one of the Explorer ST SUV Driving Schools (Utah or North Carolina) courtesy of Ford and Ford Performance for new owners. We went to Park City, UT in June and met some great fellow owners. Instructors ae top notch.

I DEFINITELY did NOT want the "Sun and Sound" Package because of the Sun Roof. As for the color, I told the Dealer I would take the first one that came off the train WITHOUT the "S/S Package" except NO black color. This particular one is a "Job 2" build, born on Dec 5th and shipped to CA via rail car arriving in Mid January, 2025.

Greeting All, I'm the fresh owner of a 2025 ST. I have owned many fords but never an Explorer and so far so great. I love the pictures that I have seen and some of the other new gadgets, so I am going to start collecting bottle and cans to afford this habit.
