25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

Spoke with dealership this morning.
My car is eating o2 sensors. Multiple new sensors, and they fail each time.
I am considering the buy-back option, but I don't know diddly squat about that process.
Is an attorney required or can I go down this road on my own?
I appreciate any advice and knowledge.

Anyway, to get a buyback started, contact Ford Customer Service and explain the issues and tell them that you want to initiate a Ford buyback. From there, you will get a case # and there will be lots of back and forth between you and a case manager. It will take time to fully materialize into a decision from Ford. This is how it was back in 2012, it may have changed but I'm sure it is similar today.

My wife and I had to get GM to buy back a new (at the time) 2018 Buick Regal. In our case that went surprisingly smooth. GMs proceedure had us initiate it wit our state's BBB main office. With their guidance we did not need an Attorney. We didn't even have to return the car to the dealer. It was already there for 4 months waiting on parts!
There should be information in the owners manual about the buy out process with Ford, the rules that could entitle you to one, who to contact to get the process started etc. If you run into a dead end inquire at your state's BBB office. Your state's Attorney Generals office could also be a good place for information.

Thank you guys for the responses.
Interesting points @enphor, regarding turbos.
They called me Monday, scratching their heads about o2 sensors. With every replacement a fault occurred. This evening they called and said it's ready to go and detailed. They are going to deliver to me tomorrow and grab this gladiator loaner.
I was able to see the faults as they replaced sensors through the app.
I dont want to initiate a buy back. I just want my ride back. @Caster, @DaHuntah, appreciate the advice, it seems the process is pretty strait forward. Hope I don't have to act.

Then the advisor asked "So what do you think the problem is?" So they could know how long to book me in for...

At times on other Ford forums and on other car brand forums, there is a company customer service rep monitoring the forum. This person reaches out to help customers who are having problems with their new car and acts as a intermediator with the dealership. Seems like this person is needed here to help with 2025 ST's.

Sorry for the delay updating. I had shoulder surgery...again.
They delivered vehicle, just really drove it yesterday to a family get together thing. All is well so far, no lights, everything functions as it should and I'm happy to have my car back.
However, one thing that is in my head is what the young man said to me who delivered my vehicle.
I asked him if it threw a light or a code on the delivery trip (~80 miles), he didnt hear me right and said his tech just cleared the code and sent it. Seems plausible, as on Monday morning they were scratching their heads and on Wednesday my car was ready.
So we shall see, but for now I'm happy...ish.

Yeah, it’s one of the services that Ford offers now. Not sure if the dealers are required to do it or how many mobile service vans they have to have but it’s an offering. Think they’ll also do pick up and drop off service too, at least at my dealer that has a charge unless the repair bill goes over a threshold then it’s free.

Update:

Took it to a different dealership, they took the car overnight. When I picked it up the next day they told me: it was simply just an over-the-air update that I could have done myself on the touchscreen. Apparently I should have been informed on how to do this by my sales guy, but I was not...

Here's pages 471/472 from the owners manual about preforming a software update.

They recommended doing the updates at night, because it could lock out your car for up to 2 hours while its updating and you won't be able to drive anywhere. That's nice...

Vehicle was at dealer for a week. Service tech called and said he couldn't replicate dash warnings. Told him they were intermittent. They decided to replace transfer case actuator. Cleared DTC's then drove it in icy parking lot with no issues. I went to pick it up today. They ran it through the car wash and pulled it around. As soon as I got in it, same warnings on dashboard. Handed it back to them, jumped into the loaner and left.

My troubled but still gorgeous 2020 with just under 58K miles on the clock is the devil I know! I'm definitely not trading in for another ST. The 2025 seems to have added a slew of new problems on top of the already flawed platform. I'm torn between keeping it another year until it's paid off and still under warranty or getting something different like a CPO 2024 XC90 Recharge, 2024 GV80, Black Label Aviator/Nautilus or MDX Type-S. All of the mentioned can be had with low miles and certified warranty for about $60K.

Here is the paperwork from my service:

They found 2 codes P0929:00, and P0929:77

They found there was 5 updates that needed to be preformed on the following modules: GSM (Gear Shift Module), ACM (Audio Control Module), DSP (Amplifier?), CMR (Camera Module?), and GWM (Gateway - Network/Communications Module)

They also noted these codes appeared since Nov 29th 2024. I didn't even purchase the car until January...
