I would say it was more Embarrassing than anything.

I have this problem, but its intermittent, will try the remedy in the video myself this summer.

Whoever took it out of Transport mode did not reset the trip odometer, so its showing more miles than the main odometer.

I haven't done it, but in general I normally end up performing about 15 to 20 percent more work than whats listed in the manual just to make it easier to access the part that needs to be serviced.

I would try that next, also if you have not already done so, recheck all the connections to the battery, even the one's you did not disconnect.

How long was it without power when you swapped batteries? If not very long then you may want to disconnect the battery for a few hours, then retry.

What error codes are you seeing?

Service manual shows a AUX battery, but its not for the ST, police interceptor maybe? I checked when I had the cargo area panels off a few years ago.

What you said bothered me, so I went to the garage and checked, Trip1 (6650 miles, never been reset) 17.8 MPG, Trip2 (45 miles, reset every fill up)15.2 MPG, AVG (as computed by ST)16.5 MPG. E10 is standard in my area but I never read the fine print at the pump.

I also get approx 13 -14 MPG, 100% Sport mode, stop and go surface streets.
