75mph, 8th gear 2500rpm constant drone.... 2700+ almost gone.. Maybe I could live with it, but I also tow and like to keep rpm in the 2k-2.5k range... so it would be under constant drone.. For the others that did have drone, what was the solution?

It was not because they were new. The Scorpions stunk from day one and I replaced them at 22k miles..

I pull a Stealth 19' enclosed trailer with no issues.. Trailered 2 bikes(~4k lbs bikes/trailer) from Wi to SD last year and had no issues; coolant and oil temp never changed.

My ST came with Pirelli Scorpions.. The Michelin AS4 is superior in every category;' quieter, smoother, more grip in wet/snow

Late to the party on this one... I tow a 21 ft trailer for snowmobiling and the stock Pirellis blow in the snow and had towed several times in snow storms and was white knuckling it.. Debated on whether I should get a separate set of winter tires.. Ending up putting on Michelin Sport Pilot AS4...

So I took the advice above; keep it in 8th gear and no cruise control... went from ~9 to over 11 mpg.. The cruise control is a killer..

10mpg is good! What speed were you going? I tow a 21 foot enclosed trailer for snowmobiles(1900lb trailer+ 900 sleds)... If I do under 65 I could probably get 10mpg... Going 70-78, mpg goes done precipitously.. I know I am getting hit with wind resistance but I expected better gas mileage..

After I told the dealer to send pictures of the actual failed joint and not just the small dent on the muffler Ford came back and covered the replacement.
