so I've been using a USB C2C and plugging it in below the radio and each time it triggers my Android phone that it's enabling Android auto but nothing comes out does the USBC plug supposed to work with Android auto or is it only the USB A plug?

So I have the moonroof option and there looks to be a vent / speaker / sensor or something anyone know what it could be for?
