2025 Explorer Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow's Reveal

The refreshed 2025 Tahoe looks incredible. Much like the Explorer, it really needed an interior refresh IMO. They knocked it out of the park. But my goodness, GM staying true to their roots and offering their entire line-up with the ugliest wheel designs of any manufacturer. If the wheels...

2023 Explorer images leaked (from China)

Any news or rumors as to whether or not this will more or less be what the US gets as the '24 Explorer? For the most part, I like the exterior changes (minus the tail lights), but that interior is heinous.

Explorer top selling three row SUV

Yep. Mazda is quickly becoming the brand for people who want a "driver's car". I just wish they had some more powerful offerings. The CX90 renderings have been very handsome. I'm not too fond of the CX70. Hopefully Ford doesn't screw the pooch with their refreshed Explorer, and hopefully...

Explorer top selling three row SUV

I actually really like all their designs, even the updated Palisade. The Korean cousins will put you to sleep driving them though. If you want to be completely isolated from any notion of "driving experience" ... than those are the cars for you.

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

It's posts like this that scare me. I bought my '20 RDX for mainly the engine, but the amount of interior rattles has gotten to me. I will say that, if I can help it, I'll never own another car with a panoramic sunroof. If I do eventually wind up with an ST, it won't have one, nor the...

Explorer top selling three row SUV

From the article: "For Explorer sales figures are comprised of the Ford Explorer and its police-duty variant, the Ford Police Interceptor Utility. In the past, Police Interceptor Utility sales were reported as a separate line item, but Ford is now folding its sales into the Explorer line item...

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

Make sure you take it for long drives over the weekend. It's great to have that short of a commute, but it's actually terrible for your car. Take it for some highway cruises or use it to run errands during the weekend ... something that gets everything up to operating temps and then some.

You can't say .... And then disprove your own argument with mostly true statements such as ... :geek: Even people I know who drive the cars I mentioned agree that many they encounter on the roads drive like complete knobs. Though, nobody can compete with BMW on this achievement.

Officer NOT HAPPY with the performance of his Explorer Police Interceptor

I don't know if he was yielding to the primary chase officer, but at 4:59 there's a Tahoe already at speed that doesn't catch up to the suspect. He probably could have pitted him and ended the chase right there. I remember watching a video where a guy in a Ford Focus takes off on an officer...

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

Ain't that the truth. I know it's a generalization, but the chances of the person behind the wheel of a Durango, Grand Cherokee or RAM being a scumbag are inordinately high.

    ST vs. The Competition

I'm surprised they went with airbag suspension. There's just no way around them being unreliable. Even Toyota/Lexus, with their renowned reputation, have had plenty of issues with their systems once they rack up some miles. If you're leasing it, no problem ... but if you're keeping it long...

whoosh motorsports high flow catted downpipes

So while checking on my own local weather for the week, apparently you can also check past weather. According to WUnderground, for Charlotte, NC Int Airport (closest to have historical data): September 14, 2022: High 80*F/Low 60*F, Dew Point High 60*F/Low 53*F Charlotte, NC Weather History...

whoosh motorsports high flow catted downpipes

Those are some significant gains, but what was the temp & humidity like between those two runs? The initial pulls were done on July 25 and the DP pulls were done on September 14. I'd imagine it would be cooler during mid-Sept than during the dog days of summer. Obviously, it would still...

Love my 2022 ST but why are so many publication reviews trashing the Explorer?

Like anyone, he certainly has his biases. He's definitely a Toyota & Honda fanboy, and he admits it. Jack (the Asian guy) is big into German and GM cars. That being said, I've test driven and driven a friend's ST numerous times and I absolutely adore the way the car drives. But, the...
