Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

I'm debating this as well. We just traded our 22 ST in on a 26 and going through the build process again. We ran 295/45R20 on a 20x10.5 +28 wheel and liked the set up but thinking of going to a 20x10 +24 with a 285/50R20 for a little more sidewall. Just not sure a 285 will look much wider...

Anyone else get parking lot speed Transmission clunk on their ST?

I tried to help you with a real answer thats been documented with dealers. Didnt realize that was being a douche. You do you.

Anyone else get parking lot speed Transmission clunk on their ST?

You asked if this was normal, and I shared that many have experienced this over the last 7yrs since these things came out and that its related to the rear axles. I agree with 2020Raptor above it has to do with friction noise, and my dealer replaced the axles thinking that would be a permanent...

    305/40/22 Anybody Rubbing?

So far these have been the worst tires we've had on this ST. Terrible road noise and wander.

Anyone else get parking lot speed Transmission clunk on their ST?

These STs have had a long history of having a clunk sound at low speed or when shifting from Park to Drive or Reverse. Ford replaced our read half axles and it corrected it for about a year, but its back now. Its the one thing that makes me hesitate buying a 2026 right now. I'm so tired of...

    Proxe ST 3's

Glad I just read this. Wife's have about 10k miles on them and the last week or so I've commented on how much road noise I'm hearing when I drive it. I've had General Grabber UHP and Hankook Ventus before these and neither were close to this much noise.

    20" aftermarket wheel thoughts?

We switched from the 21" ST wheels to a 20x10.5 wheel wrapped in 295/45R20 General UHPs and we love the look and the ride. The average observer seeing a vehicle driving down the road, at a stoplight, or sitting in a parking lot isn't noticing the 1" difference in a 21" vs a 20" but they do spot...

    20x10 +28mm with 295/45R20 Fitment

Just picked up our 2022 ST for the wife and my buddy is running a 20x10 +40 with 285/50R20 which seems to fit (it’s tight but there’s room). Wondering if the specs in the post title might fit? Slightly wider tire but pushed out 12mm further than his setup. Thanks in advance

Tire options for the ST 21’s

This looks perfect. Assume you have lowering springs and still don't have issues? Looks like a 295/40R22 is about 31.3" OD vs the 305/35R22 at 30.5" OD but .5" narrower which I assume is where people get some rubbing.
