Springs, rear sway, and don't forget subframe lockouts. Changes everything for the better in terms of handling without much sacrifice in comfort either.

ST 2021 - how can i keep the radio OFF?

First mistake is that you used the word "logic" in a Ford forum. :)

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

Tune will certainly be good but without the IC you will be leaving a lot of performance on the table in a "spirited" driving session. If all you are doing is going light to light in the city or cruising on the highway and want some more passing power sure leave the stock IC on with a tune.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

I'd have to update your comment to "tuning and a intercooler upgrade". It is a waste of money to throw a tune on a stock ST without first upgrading the intercooler if you ask me. The stock IC is ridiculously under sized and will heat soak the first 100ft of a WOT run causing the engine to detune...

ST 2021 - how can i keep the radio OFF?

My 24' does this. Always tunes to whatever FM station i last left on it, which is none. I use my phone to play music. So i tuned to some boring classical station so I don't get blasted with annoying sounds on startup. I prefer that it goes right to my phone with apple sync and wait for me to...

Transmission fluid change required for tune?

The reason for the oil fill level is to prevent the pickup tube sucking air and frothing under spirited driving/acceleration. If the oil is on the lower side its possible for this to happen where you get dips in oil pressure at the very wrong times when its needed the most. Fenfab makes a...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Yep 1794 model. Don't have any clips. I'll have to remember to make some. Don't get me wrong you still know you have a 3" thermal and dp's installed, it is still very noticeable in the cabin when you get on the throttle. What changes is the dampening of the throaty gnarly sound. It is a more...

It was this unit. It does look like the shop did have to cut some of one of the resonators to make it fit right. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001804TPI

Yea, i mean i really love the 3" sound, but I guess you can say it started getting to be a bit much. I hindsight I probably would have went with the 2.5" and and most likely wouldn't have needed to spend another $400 on resonators+install. The new HKS BOV adds an additional layer of fun sounds...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Been really enjoying my dp's and thermal 3" exhaust. Love the sound, but alas as many other folks have concluded that after a bit of fun with them, maybe a little mellowed out is in order. I still wanted awesome sound, just a little bit of the throaty/rasp taken out and to not sound like I'm WOT...

WTH caused my exhaust to sever after the cat?!

Fight that or find a proper dealer. Can't even claim "mods" caused that even if there were any.

Have you ensured that it is working visually, could be a spring strength tuning issue. Or maybe it's just not loud enough. My HKS SQV4 makes a satisfying whistle-whoosh even over my 3" thermal w/dp's.

When to do mods? New ST.

I did my IC, dp's, thermal 3", tune after the first few thousand miles on mine. Did an early oil change and called it a day. 3" thermal and dp's is loud, but not "ricer" by any means if you ask me. I like it personally, but I can see how some find it too loud. There is always the 2.5" thermal...
