There's a recall notice for the valve issue, should be covered if ever you drop a valve. Think of it this way, if it ever happens you get a free engine!

i'd get it up to vibration speed, feel the vibration, then off gas and switch to neutral. If it goes away instantly you know its the power-train. If it persists maybe something in the suspension.

That pop happens in park and you aren't touching the steering wheel? Does your ST have the window blind vanes in front of the radiator? If so , maybe when you installed the IC something didn't go back together right with those vanes and when they move it makes that sound hitting something or...

I didn't notice anything different. Never really felt lag in this vehicle before or after the IC upgrade. Capable 3L V6 plus twin small turbos that make for quick spool up I suppose helps.

From what I can find the ST is only rated up to E15 as it is not a ford "flexfuel" vehicle. Is it harmful to use something like E50?
