    Get yourself a soft bristle brush for suede/alcantara leather, looks like this. You could probably pick one up at walmart.

    My Charger had Alcantara seats, nothing special about it and much less expensive than an Explorer ST.

    Just going by what the screen shot says Ford also has this on their website: Though if you try to "build and price" (desktop at least), the 3.0 isn't an option.

    Maybe there's a trim getting a detuned version, like the Platinum and King Ranch used to have. Edit: The model in OP's screen shot is the Active 100A variant, so probably detuned.

    Trim tool, preferably plastic, to get under the edges and lift enough to get your finger tips in. Then pull, pretty hard. It'll probably come off entirely in one shot, instead of one clip at a time.

    This is roughly what the boots look like, they fit the sheet metal like a grommet. Probably help a lot to get some plastic trim tools, and as mentioned above spray silicone is your friend.
