Is the factory B&O "premium" sound system salvageable?

Agreed. You want high quality stuff? Use USB drives with FLAC or other lossless formats. Or, plug in your phone directly USB via carplay/android auto and turn off the bluetooth audio streaming on your phone. If you're still streaming 192 kbps or MP3's, you're still lowering the quality.

Security lug nuts - Advice Needed

Just buy some Advanced Wheel Locks, a bit pricey but worth every penny. Most thieves will always find a way to steal something, but make them struggle for it, and not everyone will be successful

Is the factory B&O "premium" sound system salvageable?

My older 18 Explorer Sport had a better sound system as well, speakers werent cheap paper cone's either. Not sure why Ford decided to dropped that system. Far as making this system better, changing the DSP and adding sound deadening, the sound deadening definitely helped on the bass for me with...

    Wireless Carplay

Not sure what speakers or system has to do with lossless audio? You dont need special speakers or headphones for lossless output. I mean car's from early 90's were outputting better sound with the CD's lol The better speakers, the better the sound but even on stock audio, it's still an upgrade...

    Wireless Carplay

My wife's BMW is the same way. Still holds true to everything including the lossy audio with wireless. Wireless charging is also slower, during summer after a 40 min drive, I need to remove it from the charging pad. I get a warning regarding phone being too hot. Never had that issue with wired...

    Wireless Carplay

Dont know why most love wireless, I prefer wired 10/10 times. It charges with lil to no heating, its faster/smoother, if for any reason starts to act up, just unplug and plug phone back again AND wired outputs lossless audio. Wireless is slower, phone gets hot, eats battery, audio is lossy and...

    AWD vs RWD

I meant in general, with AWD, you have more stuff that can go wrong as opposed to RWD, not specific to the Explorer. I had my FADA delete thru the TSB, so got lucky on my 2020. Oh not saying RWD is bad with the rain, else, no cars would be drivable include sports. Just stating my opinion from...

    AWD vs RWD

Driving in the rain makes me feel more secure with the AWD, its quite a difference if you drive both back to back. If you catch snow or go up the mountains, its a no brainer. So its a bit more than just being more performance oriented. RWD would be more preferable out of warranty for costs...

    2026 Order banks open!

Sad to say, the delete button has been a thing since the 21 ST's, only the 20's came with extra options or standard items that were never brought back again The 25 Platinum was always available with the bench with the 2.3 engine, unless it was removed sometime later in 25?

Explorer ST 1/4 Mile Time Slips

Well, this might ruffle up some feathers lol Car on left lane 2020 Platinum with FMIC, everything else stock oh and California "great" 91 Pretty much what I thought, ST gears make 0 to no difference vs Platinum's and they both always made the same power since the beginning.

    Knock Sensors Location?

Was wondering if anyone knew or could point me to the right direction on where the knock sensors are located? Making runs, I keep noticing the knock sensors going up on a WOT run, nearing +4. Happens going above 50, checked the fuel and OAR is at or near -.096 the whole time so dont think its...

2025 Tuning update!!! This is what you have been waiting for plus initial results!

So we can expect the 25 to have a nicer curve line but less overall peak power as opposed to the 2020? Was not aware the Turbo's were slight smaller, thought they were the same 39mm size

2025 Tuning update!!! This is what you have been waiting for plus initial results!

There was a video of a 2020 with Dp's vs a 2025 on mixed fuel, the 2020 was barely pulling on it at high end. And no, the downpipes wasnt the difference maker on a stock tune, it could actually make it worse running rich/lean. Matter of fact, it was Tyler Clark's 25 ST lol

    New Rear Differential, Break In?

What is the proper protocol for these vehicles far as proper break in? On any of my new vehicles, I have always taken it easy on the first 1k miles but have read different statements regarding the rear differential fluid, some say it needs to be replaced after the first 500 miles, others say no...
