Update on drop springs and SPC camber bolts...the SPC bolts do not fit. Sorry...it was worth a shot though. The oem bolt is substantially smaller than the SPC bolt. Also, someone mentioned they were told that bolt location is a pinch bolt with some opportunity for adjustment. That’s also false.
So...now we wait on SPC or someone else to get us a camber bolt that fits.

I just got the truck back. The best they could do on rear camber was -1.1 B8D958A8-9D57-4E18-8D90-EA60306D9128.jpeg 42494095-56E3-4233-8950-924D2F78C043.jpeg 3FFE90B5-5FEC-4B90-B548-D51B69D3874C.jpeg BBA4B5B8-455C-4557-B0CC-C90AEB69EBA1.jpeg

That’s not bad at all. I wound up slotting the inboard UCA holds a little more and left it at -.5 on both sides.

For others that stumble on this thread considering H&R springs. I had my H&Rs installed yesterday (best they could do on the alignment was -1 rear camber) and when I get a chance I'll check out the below...

I reached out to tech support at SPC and they mentioned 2 points:

1. If anyone is in the Colorado area they would be open to test out the correct part that would fit on the 2020 ST if someone contributes a test vehicle.
2. Based on the line drawings of the Explorer ST suspension it is possible the following existing part may work (see my pasted reply from SPC below):

"Here’s the link to the Mustang rear upper adjustable control arm part # 72370: https://www.spcalignment.com/index....part_description&pid=72370&Submit_form=Submit
Please compare it to your Explorer, taking note of the cone shaped mounting surface where the outer end of the arm contacts the top of the knuckle. I would hope this matches your Explorer.

The center to center bolt hole dimension of the 72370 is a range of 284-271mm (11.2-10.7”). The mounting hardware which goes through both bushings is 12mm. The inner bolt is 70mm (2.75”) long and the outer bolt is 100mm (3.9”) long. The inner bushing width is 40mm (1.57”). The outer bushing width is not critical for the Mustang application because the bushing is not cradled on both sides by the knuckle."

I'm not as technical as you guys... I'm thinking about H&R springs but worried about these alignment posts. So is it something we can run without major issues or we shouldn't run until we find out how to make the alignment perfect?

Worst case is faster rear tire wear, but if you take alot of fast corners you might not mind.

2 things...
-1* is WELL within oem alignment spec in the rear. Max is -1.7*
If you got it to -1 you have zero issues to worry about.
Second...toe is a much bigger cause of tire wear than camber. I can take a car with perfect camber, change the toe setting and chew up a new pair of tires in 100 miles.

I think someone already said it on another thread...”y’all taking this camber thing waaaaay to far”.

Thanks I appreciate it!! I had the guys at the Ford body shop take all the parts off sand them out and paint them. It ended up being 2000.00 US (2700.00 cnd) to have the work done. I suspect it took them 25hours labour

So what is the final verdict? Are you able to get the alignment back to within stock specs using either the H&R springs or the Steeda springs amd without having to modify anything?

The dealership did my Steeda springs then aligned it afterwards and it drives better now then it did when we bought it

Unneeded in 99.9% of cases.
Good that there’s finally something out though.

I have a set of Steeda's coming in today and have been in direct contact w/ their team here in Pompano Beach, FL. According to them there are no alignment issues. I'm hoping they can have them installed this week or sometime early next week due to the holiday weekend. I'll keep you guys posted once installed.
Thanks.

That was my next project so I would like to know the outcome.
